Etheridge gone to Brum in deal worth up to £2m. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport...kCopy&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=sharebar £2m a better reflection of his value. Probably half down now and half on appearances/performances. A sell on clause would be nice. He needs to be playing regularly and we have 3 decent keepers still. Good luck to him except when playing us. Brilliant for us for 2 seasons apart from his distribution. Lol!!!
He was superb for us in his short spell. Someone should write a book on our keepers this decade as we’ve had some top ones as well as some shambolic ones.
As I have said before, the club's management see how these youngsters perform in training and age related matches. They have experience of judging whether or not they have the ability to perform at higher/adult level. They also take into account the personal circumstances and behaviours of each one. As fans we sometimes feel the club let too many go and certainly there have been no real successes since Ramsey. We lost Matonda to Man City due to the higher category club's ability to snatch youngsters from lower clubs for nominal amounts. Also, youngsters with great ability might be taken on at a young age but only a very small proportion actually make for a whole raft of reasons. It seems strange to us but the club's management are in the best position to judge. Finally much depends on the club's scouting system for youngsters, possibly at 10 years of age or even younger. That could be where our deficiencies lie, certainly when compared to our neighbours further west who seem to have a bit of a conveyor belt of good young players. There is no easy answer and we seem to be a long way behind I'm this area. I had hoped Bellers would be the man to change that but sadly it was not the case. Maybe we will see a positive change with Bagan, Sang and others.
I am sure BfB will tell me it's yesterdays news. And so it is. Ross McCormack da, di, da, di, da, Has signed for Aldershot. Good luck to him. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54204947
Surprised at this - I thought he was on the verge of the bench for us at the least.............. https://www.gloucestershirelive.co....ardiff-citys-former-manchester-united-4532650
I thought the same but valuable game time for him instead of bench warming at best. Different if we had stayed in the Carabao Cup.
Minxy!!!! What an absolute delight to see you on here. I'm doing fine thank you and a bazillion times better having heard from you. Hope you're keeping well and enjoying life
I'm fine thanks Hoping to get away on Friday for a weeks break in Scotland but feel the Covid situation may prevent this happening .... will need to wait & see But other than that life just plods on So glad to here are doing ok
I hope it works out for you. I've been missing out on seeing my friends in North Berwick for over a year now. It's a horrible situation for everyone. If you manage to get there, have a great time. Thanks for your good wishes which are of course reciprocated with pleasure.
We don't need a room. Minxy and I transcend normality and are on a superior spiritual plain. But 500 thank yous for saying "young" (only in my case obviouisly).
I had it in my mind he was on his way to the Blades a month or so back. Clearly not any more. Descibed as a box to box midfielder. Sounds interesting provided he can take the ball with him. Wouldn't have thought he'd come cheap.
