    If you had been asked before deadline day you would have said a GK, LB and CB.

    A GK - Orestis Karnezis, on a season long loan from Udinese

    A LB - Marvin Zeegelaar, this one seems permanent (4 year deal) from Sporting Lisbon.

    A CB - Molla Wague, on a season long loan from Udinese.

    I hope they are decent enough players but they are the areas we were shouting out for.

    I hope we kept our beef upp top (Okaka and of course Deeney)...I couldn´t see the latter leaving when he gets fit he and Gray will be vying for first team places.

    How far have we come in such a few year (but we could fall as quick) just think of the value of the guys on our bench 20,30 35 mill and the Family paid maybe 0.5M plus a horses head in a red hat enjoy the ride for as long as it takes

    Also saw on Sky Sports that Merson rated us a 'B' in terms of transfer market, and has humbly changed his mind that we will go down

    But then he also gave man Utd an 'A+' for their 4 signings, although also said he wasn't convinced by 2 of them <doh>

    Seems to have quickly changed his tune on Chalobah - said he wouldn't cut it not being in the comfort zone of Chelsea but now rates him highly.

    Guess that is because England have picked him!
