Jokanovic will certainly know him from their time at Watford. Apparently Norwich are keen on letting him go, so that they can sign French youth international Jerome Onguene from Sochaux. It could well be awkard FAB. The reports say we want to sign him on a reduced salary to his current wage at Carrow Road. And we also want him to be released so that we can get him on a free transfer. Not sure where the incentives are for him or Norwich.
Usually in this type of situation I'd say the incentive for the player would be first team football, but as things stand i don't think we can guarantee him that. Kalas and Madl have started the season very well, then there's also Stearman and Ream as other CB options. So definitely competition for places.
Reports from Sweden say, although no bid has been made, we're interested in Malmo's RB Anton Tinnerholm please log in to view this image Source: http://www.fotbollskanalen.se/allsv...r-tinnerholm-vet-att-det-finns-intresse-fran/ The 25yr old Swede, not the biggest at 5' 9", has European experience - refused to swap shirts with the other lad in the picture - and 6 caps for his country. He's on contract till December 2017 and valued around the £1m mark. Believe the Gaffer made a mini trip to Scandanavia recently and he may have been the reason.
I know its just a rumour but would find it strange if we are looking to bring in another full back, its the one part of the team we are well stocked up on. Malone, Sessegnon, Odoi and Ream can all play LB, then we have Odoi, Stearman, Kalas and Fredericks(when fit) who can all play RB. Surely we have enough cover!!
Think this is cover because Fredericks will be out for up to 3 months FAB. Although that's a fair list of names you give, in practice only Odoi and Stearman are RBs. And don't think even the Gaffer fancies Stearman. PS Happy Birthday to Richard .. 29 today
It will be interesting to see if Ben Marshall starts for Blackburn tomorrow as our interest is well documented and he is rumoured to have asked for a transfer, even more telling will be the fixture next weekend when we play them. On a side note I fear for Blcakburn they look in real trouble have started badly, have sold there three best players in the last three transfer windows ( Gestede Rhodes and Handley) plus there two current best players Duffy and Marshall are into the last year of there contracts and have both rejected new ones. Every time someone has a moan about Khan they should take a look at Venkeys.
Or at Cellini at Leeds. I read yesterday that he's already losing patience with Gary Monk after just 4 games.
He's gone to Derby on loan !!!!!! Source: http://www.dcfc.co.uk/news/article/...ted-striker-james-wilson-on-loan-3261618.aspx In that BBC London radio interview I guess we can take it that the Gaffer was referring to James Wilson when he said, "one of the best managers in the world says take him and our "chief recruitment" says no!!"
I hadn't realised the influence of Kline still at the club. We could have had a decent striker in by now , surely?
The Premiership clubs will be trimming their squads this week and bearing in mind that this season loan deals must be completed by the end of the window, the "Club" (using the word collectively) will hopefully be active. Some that might become available may be seen as rejects but by no means all of them. Another factor is the time left and bringing in a player from abroad has additional hurdles - not to mention acclimatisation when/if thet get here.
Latest rumours have us linked with Genk attacking midfielder Neeskens Kebano and also with former Reading midfielder Jem Karacan, who was apparently at the Cottage on Saturday. Still no striker???
Not sure if you guys remember but I said there was one poster on one of the other forums who does actually appear to have a little inside knowledge of the club and is the one poster across the Fulham internet I stop and listen when he posts something, I think I mentioned this when he said McDonald was signing, anyway he has posted the following...... " 2 to 3 in this week, and even possibly the one SJ said had been vetoed. So I have been told today."
Apparently Boro have told Rhodes he can go out on loan and Wolves are very interested, Imill not be pleased if we don't at least try to make that one happen.
All loans then Cookie? Like Surly, I understood Wilson was the vetoed one. Could of course just be the coincidence of Jokanivc's rip and his loan to Derby happening at the same time. If it turns out to have been Rhodes your poster chap will crease his pants - he's been putting out banners for us to bring him in since the McCormack time.
I think we have all assumed it was Wilson rather than know though it's pretty much a safe assumption, the way I heard Slav's interview was that there have been a few players he wanted that have been vetoed so guessing it will be one of them.
With the loan window closing at the same time as the transfer window for the first time it is likely there will be slot of movement in the last few days of the window. As premiership teams finalise there 25 man squads players who don't make them will have to move before the window shuts or not play until January! Players such as Paredes at Watford who we have been linked to have been told they are not in the 25 man squad and will have to move before this window shuts.
