Was just about to post the same Cottager though most sites have him as a Striker not a wide player, hope this isn't the big money signing as he scored only 8 goals in 52 games as Evian were relegated from Ligue 2 last year. Anyway Sakho came from Ligue 2 and was an instant hit at West Ham maybe it will be the same for us. Apparently his strength is his speed and transfer market has his value at £1 mill - £1.8 mill
New rumour - nothing to do with the last little clutch of speculation. It's the attacking midfielder Alex Hernandez Inglesias of RCD Espanyol (Barcelona) please log in to view this image The 23yr old was on loan to Reading last season and currently has 1 year left on his contract.
And a new one getting enthusiastic* support is another attacking midfielder. He's Eddy Sylvestre of Real Murcia (Spanish League B) please log in to view this image *Enthusiastic in the sense that the reports from Spain are very specific that he will sign tomorrow (Thursday) and that the fee is 400k euros. Less commendable is the 23yr old's history of being out on loan for the last five years. In that time he has turned out for the Azerbaijan national side; qualifying for them on his mother's side. Possibily one to invest in but definitely not the 'marquee' siging being talked about earlier.
I don't know much about N'sikulu, but one thing that worries me is the fact that he's a Congolese international. With Ayite (Togo) and Aluko (Nigeria) already on board, we might find ourselves very short of attacking options whenever the African Cup of Nations rolls around.
Good point Captain. We're kind of okay at the moment since: Ghana/Senegal qualified Congo/Gambia/Nigeria eliminated Togo could qualify Not entirely sure what the position is with Denis Odoi. He's got dual nationality - Belgium/Ghana - but has played for Belgium in a friendly.
Rumours this morning is the mystery Striker could be Steve Mounie from Montpellier for £6 million, Benin International!!
This could be the one from those rumours Cookie as French papers this morning say he's over here having a medical. Montpelier's striker Steve Mounie please log in to view this image The 21yr old Benin international stands at 6'3" and got rave reviews while out on loan to Nimes last season. Although he only got 12 goals. They are talking of a figure around £6m !!
Lol .... 11 goals and five assists in 32 games last season so that form in a 46 game season pretty much equates to a 15 goal a season man. That would be OK as long as the defence is much improved also at 21 hopefully he is still improving.
I'd settle for Mounie, ACN not withstanding, based on the little I know about him. I think I'd prefer that Bristol City striker, though everything seems to have gone quiet on that one.
Unlike most of the ACN countries our players are involved with, and mentioned above, Benin have qualified for ACN 2017. So your fears are founded Captain. Think Kodjia, the Bristol City striker, was just a name thrown in the ring rather than any specific link to us.
Oooops ... Montpelier say our offer is way short of the £6m asking price ... so no deal do (yet!) Source: http://www.midilibre.fr/2016/07/28/...e-7-5-millions-d-euros-sur-mounie,1372644.php Why do we (that is Mike Rigg) continully do this. If we believe he fits the bill why try to get him on the cheap? [Not that, with his relative inexperience, thought the full fee would be paid up front but for goodness sake why short change them?]
Crossed my mind a while back that with Watford re-grouping, Slavi might cast an eye over one of two of theirs. Apparently not. And Almen Abdi and Daniel Pudil have just signed for Sheffield Wednsday. They are putting together some serious signings.
The Spanish League B is basically a third division - a few of the la liga sides have reserve teams in it. There are 80 teams in it divided up into 4 leagues of 20 there's all sorts of odd rules around promotion and relegation and getting places in the Copa del Rey. It's not a great standard to be honest. Maybe this guy is a hidden gem.
Slavi wants more signings! After today's impressive win over Palace the Club posted this - 'Fulham’s Head Coach named four substitutes for the victory over the Eagles, and he’s keen to bolster his squad for the upcoming campaign. “We still need more additions,” he stated. “We need to sign four or five more players. If you want to fight for a different target to what we were fighting for last season, we need to improve ourselves immediately. I am very happy with how my team is working in pre-season. These boys are working hard to improve themselves but it’s not enough. I expect we are going to offer more ambition." “I want to be successful. I am sure the players working with me want to be successful. And if all of us want to be successful we have to push hard. I am not selfish, I want to be personally successful and this is very good for the people around me, the supporters too, and definitely for Fulham Football Club.” ' And on the McCormack situation - 'Ross McCormack was missing from the squad once again as he continues to recover from a niggling injury, with Jokanović commenting: “I didn’t use Ross McCormack in the last few games. He has some physical problem and I expect he should be ready to work with us on Monday.” ' Hmmm ... you'd have thought our infamous medical lot would have been able to determine the "physical problem". Apart from excess weight, that is!
