Yep and this post is needed isn't it? You seem kind of obsessed with me for some reason. Does my font attract you or something?
We are after Cosmin Moti. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/28962031 Not really - but he could cover defence and GK!
He looks a prospect, but I think he'll be staying where he is judging by his manager's comments earlier in the month (as reported on sky ). You never know though cos a month is a long time in football
Excellent news if it is anywhere close to true Beefy, I think he'd be an excellent investment, rather than buying some journeyman striker who's only interested in the paycheck.
If that's a reference to the Shane Long signing, I think that like many, you may've failed to see the logic of it. Long was chosen as much for his pace and style of play rather than his goals record (1 every 4 games). He never gives the oppo's defence an easy game, running the channels and he will help to create a lot of goals. I'm sure that Pelle was bought to be the "finisher" and expected to score more often than Long. Selke would definitely be one for the future and, as you say a good investment, but it's nice to have a bit of Premier League experience too.
It wasn't actually, I'm pleased with all our signings so far, its just that I'm kind of expecting that kind of signing next as we run out of options closer to the window shutting. I may call myself OptimisticSaint, but I still have a cynical view of the world on occasion.
Would be nice but probably won't happen; According to german magazine kicker they're moving along with a contract extension. Quote from the Bremen coach.."both sides want a new contract, davie wants to stay." http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/...33/artikel_selke-will-bei-werder-bleiben.html
Beefy whats your gut feeling with a few days left of how many deals we are trying to complete/ likely to get in? Are we in for Clasie , Redmond and Van Diyk? Another striker likely?Could we try one last time for Ings? Koeman was commenting on our small squad so hopefully means there will not be many if any out of the door Its going to be an interesting few days let's hope luck is on our side to land our main targets
Clasie: Been talking to Feyenoord on and off for a month. Also looked at him loads. Redmond: Made bids for him and was told we liked him but may have moved on. Dijk: Heard nothing for ages, DTLW would probably know more but he is now a ghost. Another striker haven't a clue Ings: He isn't leaving this window.
I have a heap of respect for Ings. What a great example he has been given that everyone knows the Saints have been in for him. If he is interested in coming here then he has conducted himself honorably and good on him. Everything I've seen about the guy adds up to a bloody decent person. Hopefully he won't come here, have a great season, get called up for England and turn into a bit of a twat.. I mean 'world class footballer'. I'd like to think that come January if Burnley are sinking or after giving them a season he could leave the club having done the right thing by the club. Would have been great to see a couple of our merc's conduct themselves this way. I hold Morgan in similar esteem at the moment.
As he has settled down, I'm prepared to accept Morgan's little tantrum as it was out of character. He at least listened to reason...this is how it is for now, you either come back and play nicely with your mates or sit at home unpaid and all the fans who loved you will spit on you in the streets. Wouldn't take a mastermind to concede to force majeure (especially if he was told that his position would be reconsidered next summer...which is a possibility).
