When did Van Dijk "go public about joining his fellow countryman in the Premier League"?

 

Probably hasn't but I can see Forster and Dijk coming here. We are still looking at De Vrij as well.

 

He took out a full page advert in the Daily Echo I think.

 

De Vrij, Van Dijk, Clasie, and Forster would be very exciting additions to the squad.

 

I would like that to happen, although I have been saying this about players for a while now. Need to get deals done quickly if we have any hope of persuading Morgan and the like that we are still going places.

Saints appear to want to squeeze everything from sales and then be penny pinchers when buying....sound business, but not when the start of the season is only weeks away. Get those players on board ASAP!!

 

I would be pretty happy with that. Add Redmond for an option off the bench and that's a good outcome

 

Going to be difficult to penny pinch when everyone knows we have barrels full of money. Celtic are normally tough negotiators (aka Wanyama), imperative we don't pussyfoot around. Get Forster and Van Dijk in ASAP, albeit we have to pay full market price. Firstly it will send out a statement of intent which will appease the squad and secondly, more importantly, it will appease me.

Negotiating with Feyenoord etc we can maybe play it a be cuter, also with a couple of signings in the bag we become a more attractive proposition for potential signings.

Think Saints missed a trick with our away kit this season....we definitely should of gone Orange!!

It would be nice to actually sign some one new.....Rather than just talk about the possibility. Is it me......everyone else seems to be able to talk to their prospective player, check him out on the running machine, then sign him in a matter of days, a week at the most? With us it seems to take months !!!!! Ok I know I am exaggerating but it does seem to take a while doesn't it?
I really feel for RK, ok I accept he knew he would be busy, but replacing the spine of a team is not going to be easy.

 

It's almost if the board wanted all the bad PR done first before buying players in to get good PR isn't it?.........

I would put it as they were left in more **** then they thought they were in. With players wanting to leave because of Cortese going and pochettino's dodgy talking to players. They haven't handled it well, bit I doubt many would. Now they need to prove themselves and I think they will.

 

I sincerely hope so....We do not want to go back down the leagues now we are in the PL.

 

I hear we are after Michael Van Gerwen and Raymond Van Barneveld.

 

Going to be like a branch of Vanerama soon.
