Think Mayuka would have been useful to have when Rodriguez got injured. We lacked a player capable of exploiting the gap behind the defence, so I think Mayuka could have staked a claim had he been available.

A brown envelope swung it the way of the Cherries.

I'm not sure I'd be comfortable paying a fee for him

Don't think he was even particularly good at Swansea to be honest. Swansea fans I know thought he was a massive disappointment and were absolutely gobsmacked that City bought him for as much as they did, they thought he would end up back in the Championship. He couldn't even get games for a poor West Brom side.

I'd rather buy Puncheon back for like £5m than buy Sinclair for £2.5m.

Not specifically about Sinclair, but players can suit one team and not another. If a player is young with good technique, we could turn their career round. We haven't got a perfect track record with transfers, but wouldn't write a player off if Saints think he suits. Or it could just be tosh.

Personally think Sinclair is a money motivated player...

Says it all when he sacrificed his Swansea career for money at the Etihad.

But presumably he didn't know he was sacrificing his career by the move...he may have thought that a team would play him if they bought him. This is a chance that Adam and Luke are taking if they are seeking a move. An expensive Carlo Kickaball brought in and they could be marginalised.

Why do you think he didn't believe he would play for them?

£2.5m for Scott Sinclair wouldn't be terrible business. He was a great player for Swansea, but has been difficult for him at City.

Sinclair has barely played for 2 years. I believe he now weighs 21stone.

He's pacey, which is what everyone seems to be crying out for. Unfortunately that's all he's got really. Everything else is about average for a mid table prem team. He'd make a decent squad player but if we're going by the philosophy of only signing players who could get into our first 11 then he's a no go.

If we paid £2m for a direct runner comfortable with the ball at both feet, capable of playing across the attacking 3 or up top, I'd be cool with that.
