I find Gaston rather endearing, but quite expensive to keep him as a pet. He's talented, but, unless the new manager can get the best out of him, a move may be best for him and us. However, have no issue if he stays.

I'm still clinging onto hope that Lambert will be the only other one going. We could have done with another AMC anyway really.

Likewise. Especially if Adam does go.

Agreed. Without Lambert he will be more viable.

Exactly...If Lallana goes, which is incredibly likely then Ramirez is his replacement for that CAM role. I'd rather Gaston who is familiar with the set-up and premier league fight it out with someone else for that spot in the team rather than two completely new players.

Definitely want Gaston to stay. Still think he can be a big player for us.

I tell you what, I like the look of the France U20 goalie, Paul Nardi. Plays for Nancy in Ligue 2. Wonder if he'd like to play in the Prem?

Interesting read on red cafe (Man U forum) where they are discussing Shaw and debating who saints could sign to replace him. General consensus is that we should go for Davies at Swansea.

I like the look of Sturridge and Sterling. Also Coutinho and Henderson. And Gerrard is a lifelong Saints fan and dreams of ending his career here.

There Liverpool, how do you like that.

I've seen a few rumours that if Koeman does indeed come to Southampton, then one of his first signings would be Graziano Pelle (28 year old ST, 6 foot 4, plays for Feyenoord). I have heard of him before, but never seem him play. Anyone here know anything about this guy? Has played 57 games and scored 50 goals in the last two seasons in the Netherlands for what it's worth.

keeping the scoring rate up over more than one season is important.

he was never prolific at AZ oddly.

Seems like typical journalism to me, player did well with a manager at a previous club so obviously he would want to bring him with him to the new club. Much like a few of our players being linked to Spurs atm.

FWIW from the little I've seen of Pelle I don't think he is a premier league quality striker.

it shows koeman can pick up a player from nowhere to be a top striker though.

Picking up a player from nowhere who becomes a top striker is something of a tradition in the Dutch league...unfortunately, most of those players fail to go on to be top strikers in other leagues.

    ha, true.

not so many keep it up over a number of seasons though. whether that's just because some mug buys them, I don't know.

    ajax do OK at it.

Why don't we just find the players we want, inform the other teams and they can buy them direct from the other club. Save us from getting fond of them before our hearts are broken:emoticon-0153-broke
