    Agree to an extent, but I can't recall this happening under Cortese, the jist seemed to be more that the club will invest rather than (what it seems to me) senior, long serving players urging the board to invest.

    I may be reading too much into it, but my take is that the players have heard that there isn't going to be a big investment into the palying staff this summer and that has possibly upset a few of them.

    The players won't know what we are going to invest in new players...until the board discuss it and its implications, I'm sure they don't even know (except in the broadest terms). The players are merely saying what the fans think...we need a larger squad.

    But to keep this post on topic and speaking of Israel, Eran Zahavi of Maccabi Tel Aviv might be a good punt. Plays as an attacking midfielder across the pitch, is equally good with both feet and is 26. Remind you of anyone? :smile:ran Z

    Hmm, Football Direct, sounds suspiciously like it may have something to do with Mike Ashley, is that the case?! Maybe it is and that's why it is complete claptrap, writing these reports whilst sitting behind his desk at St James' Park <laugh>
