it's when the rumours converge from different sources and agendas that the ****s get put up me.

lallana's mate who quit saintsweb a little while back saying that 2-3 important players were going doesn't sit well and the obvious conclusion was that lallana would be one.

To be fair I did mention on this thread that two of Rickie's friends who seem quite close to him and are on Twitter have been posting on this.

They've got bets on Lallana going to Anfield and said "who knew ey " when the speculation ramped up. Still, you have to close a deal I suppose.

 

They might be his friends but that doesn't mean they know anything. They're Liverpool fans aren't they? Probably wishful thinking as much as anything.

 

Chinese whispers. 'Possibly' turns into 'certainly' very quickly.

 

Exactly. Lambert might well have said something like "I can't see him staying", obviously believing he's a great player and he'll have opportunities to move to a big club, and that turns into "he's definitely going, I'm ITK!" in the wrong hands.

And that's assuming he has told them anything at all (or even that he knows, he may not after all).

 

We just need to wait and see.

 

I have to be here for all of June with nothing to do. If we don't hear any good news by the end of May, then my sanity will be gone by the time I get back to the UK.

He went full ****** a long, long, long time ago, but he is really enjoying the latest developments, surely he has got to be a secret skate.

I don't think Liverpool will offer the kind of money the club would want for Lallana. And there aren't other suitors at the moment.

 

If Poch stays, everyone will stay.

Only player I can see going would be Shaw and I don't think he will...

 

I can see Shaw going without rocking the boat too much. Fingers crossed for him to stay though.

 

Not too worried about Shaw,,,think he will stay because he still has time on his side and may feel that another season or two here will be good for him. Lallana has reached a crossroads so is more of a worry. However, although he is our most useful player, I wouldn't be too worried if we only lost one player.

 

Lots of talent in shaw but we get more utility out of lallana in immediate terms. Shaw's price is unlikely to rise unless he transforms into a striker as Bale did.

 

Neither am I. The collective media have struggled to wring out a story lately on Shaw, other than that he may represent England in Brazil. Every time the media say he's going here or there, Shaw says, no, I've got plenty of years and I'm going to stay at the best club where I can improve as a player.

Shaw has said this so many times now that even the media are beginning to get the idea, and they've largely stopped bringing out new stuff, only occasionally rehashing the old. Lallana, on the other hand, has not denied things enough times, so the media have carte blanche, and they have well and truly turned their gaze upon him.
