I have absolutely no doubt that Adam loves the club and he is torn at the moment. He probably never considered leaving us before, but he is at a crunch point in his career. I have no doubt he is in discussion with his agent...who contrary to what most people think will be acting in his client's best interest. If he has a good WC, does he strike whilst the iron's hot or he does he give us another season at least. Obviously I hope he chooses the latter.

the balague thing has shot my faith in there being no foundation to the rumours going around to pieces.

taking that as context for uncle les popping up every week just to say no bids yet and we'd probably reject any, while krueger commits to nothing and everyone else gives the bare minimum of commitment when asked, it smacks of the chicken has lost its head analogy of the end of mali group.

 

Balague does know more about Mauricio than most, so worrying. However, he does mention the fear that KL would sell the club in the near future, whereas I'm sure no one believes that now. I'm also fairly sure that there is no intention of funding the club with a sale of the first team....though that doesn't mean none will go for various reasons (stupid offers, screaming hysterics from a player).

My cousin is working at a bank in Zurich, and said he met Cortese the other week. Basically just said he seemed like a really nice guy.

I doubt he would have any reason to spread bullshit to the English media, he strikes me as the type that once he leaves somewhere, he leaves it full stop.

Nothing has come out of the club since FSG took over the club. Any information which has come to the public in 'leaks' have come from agents or the other club. It's why transfers are so widely and wrongly speculated around Liverpool; no one has a damn clue what's going on inside the club and no one can get any information out until some dodgy agent opens his mouth.

 

Unless there are commitments in terms of contracts and funding over the summer, the whole 'relaxed and waiting for summer' line will indeed be the PR disaster that Sotonist mentioned.

Krueger was confident at the awards night that Poch's situation would be resolved within a couple of weeks. Someone on SaintsWeb is saying Krueger wants an answer by the end of May. Blackmore suggests that Saints made an initial contract offer to Mauricio but he said he wanted to finish the season first, which they accepted made sense.

Defo confirmed from a few people on the LFC side that Lambert is saying Lallana is almost definitely going to Liverpool. All over our twitter from usually reliable people.

 

Since Liverpool would have no reason to know what Lambert is saying, I'll take that one with an unhealthily large dose of salt.

 

If you see a thread by Sanchez or Glasgow Saint, you know it will be negative. How they can be called supporters when they revel in Saints misery (real or imagined). We will know soon enough and there is nothing that can be done anyway. We know most rumours turn out to be claptrap. Southampton will start in the EPL next season whatever happens.
