Indeed. That's my take on things. As I said, I'm in a funny [peculiar] mood today [should be working and not doing so], and so I've been allowing myself to express my little doubts here and there. Hopefully, people haven't been taking too much notice.

For example, if Poch was renegotiating his contract with the Italian meglomaniac, we'd just be debating about how many seasons Cortese was going to give him before he chose someone to take Saints the rest of the way. Adam and/or Luke leaving..? Not until they'd outstayed their usefulness. Until then don't make me laugh. There's the difference.

 

Yes, he might be, but it may be nothing to do with the contract; it may be more about where the Board want to take the club and at what pace.

 

How does that have nothing to do with the contract? He's hardly going to want to tie himself down only to discover the board aren't going to play ball and he'll be stuck in a job he despises is he? If he hasn't been given any indication what the board's plans are, he'd be absolutely mad to sign.

Fair point Kingslayer. PTF, I admire your objectivity, and I hope like the Ramirez saga, the outcome will be positive which you predicted then I believe. I'm a browser and it's interesting to see the range of emotions change with various individuals, due to the latest semantic interpretation. Not saying speculation isn't fun (or addictive) but I wish it was about transfer speculation when Poch signs a new contract and Lallana stays

 

I was talking about the whole package. It's not just about personal terms, he's going to want assurances about the nature of his job. Sorry if that wasn't clear, but frankly you're looking for a fight where there isn't one to be had.

 

No I am not, not at all. I started my post with an affirmative to yours. I'm ducking out now, but will just say PTF that you make some great contributions on here, but I do feel you should consider backing off a little on that corrective nature of yours. Nearly every day I read you arguing/battling with someone. Not me today.

Haughty no, not at all, it's was a passing phase with me. I sometimes wonder why people love to indulge in and invite the negative.
This morning I was wondering what posting was like without taking a little step back for consideration, and instead plunging in. It's a similar emotion to when Saints lose a match and play badly [a rare thing thing season]. There will be the usual suspects diving in, but you probably won't see a comment from me. I'll let the emotion dissolve first and then see what I come up with once I reasoned it out. In terms of when Saints win I then happily let my emotions rip. Positive emotions are so good for one that I like to pass them out to friends and acquaintances.

Today's little stint has been quite refreshing actually, though really I've only been here because my work day didn't pan out at all.
