Southampton fissa il prezzo per Gaston Ramirez. Il presidente Nicola Cortese, per lasciar partire l'attaccante uruguaiano chiede 18 milioni di euro. Difficile che arrivino proposte di questo tipo, almeno per il momento. Ramirez guadagna 2,5 milioni all'anno. La sensazione è che potrebbe giocare un altro anno in Inghilterra. Anche se Inter e Fiorentina seguono con attenzione l'evoluzione della situazione.

It says that Cortese is willing to let Ramirez go for 18M euros. Inter and Fiorentina are following the situation but aren't ready to make offers at this time.

Sorry about that, there's been a bit of posturing going on. Diego Castro is the current hot topic, and there's also the rumour of Puncheon to Palace and Sharp to Reading. Thoughts?

Would be surprised and a bit annoyed if Puncheon left, been one of our best players this year. Great backup at the least, been looking good coming of the bench really. As for Sharp i am not to bothered doesnt feel like a saints player anymore haha! As for Castro dont know much about him!

Don't believe that one bit. If Ramirez did leave it would be for around £20million. Cortese drives a hard bargain!

Even if the reported 18 milion is true, it doesn't matter, because as it stands, no italian side bar Juventus has that kind of money. And they aren't even mentioned in the article

Will be very interested in following Reading's progress this season. Good move for both Wayne and Reading. I'm also glad Bridge is starting to sort himself out and play again...was getting a reputation as a player who just wanted the lifestyle.

PSV striker Jeremain Lens has expressed a desire to leave the Eredivisie this summer, and has set his heart on a move to the Premier League. The Netherlands international, who notched 15 goals in 30 league games for PSV last season, has two years left to run on his contract, but expects the club to allow him to leave rather than risk a far smaller fee next summer."I long for the next step," the 25-year-old told Voetbal International. "I think the time has come to prove myself at the highest level every week."I'm 25, I have played in the Eredivisie for seven and it's time for a step forward. I think my style of play fits perfect in England."I have no transfer clause in my contract, but if there is a nice club I expect no problems."PSV would grant me a move abroad. Otherwise, next year they could be left facing an unpleasant situation" "Moreover, I will not go to a competition where I could not get into the Dutch team."The former AZ forward also revealed he was offered a move to Southampton last season, but is hoping to secure a switch to a more illustrious club 12 months on."Southampton was the only option abroad and I didn't want to leave PSV," he explained. "I expect that other clubs will make a move this summer and I hope to be able to choose.

Being a Berkshire boy I have always liked Reading and now our Nigel is there I shall follow their progress with some raised interest next season.

Well fine, we didn't want him anyway!

I take that as us still not being large enough in stature to be his preferred destination. Does this put people off? Certainly makes me think we should be looking elsewhere.

If Leeds give Brian some money as promised, we could well see a Nigel & Brian promotion party in consecutive seasons......doubt that's happened before. Saying that, with Leeds, anything could go wrong with Bates still lurking.

Not that I think it's a bad reflection on him, mind. He absolutely should look for the best move he can make and he feels like he might get better offers than we will make. Good luck to him, hope it works out.
