Nothing wrong with a bit of experience from a quality player. In my opinion based on his age, experience, form, love of saints and a lack of quality in depth along the left, Bridge would be a good shout, doubt his wages would be that high due to age.

Meh, I'd take Bridge. He did get in the Championship team of the year didn't he? We're not looking for someone to displace Shaw anyway.

Exactly, if we want to keep Shaw for at least a few seasons we sign someone who will play every now and then when Shaw is injured or tired, we could maybe even play both together on the left.

Yep I'd take bridge for a season. Still quality. Pretty sure he said he wanted to come back to us some day anyway, probably take a low ish wage.

Anyway with Valencia missing out on champs league and already in trouble financially, I wonder if we could grab soldado?! He would be immense!

I bet there are better teams thinking the same. Think about teams that need strikers: Atletico, Juventus, Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham. They should all be looking at him.

Speaking of Valencia though; Adil Rami, Ever Banega, Pablo Piatti and Andres Guardado (please please please please please) all play there.

Just because we buy a player who's over 30 doesn't mean he's not going to be useful. Spurs bought Gallas who was 33 at the time, do they lack ambition and the ability to move forward? If we have too many young players then we won't have much experience and have the same problem we had at the start of the season.

To be fair, Gallas is terrible.

Big yes to all of these players (particularly Rami), though I'm sure they'd all have better options. Still, fingers crossed.

And vice versa not all older players are good due to experience.

Saw this, I have no comment on the validity on this account or anything about the player so I'll just leave it here.

I really, really want Wanyama. I'll cry if it doesn't happen.

Yeah, I'm getting a little too excited over this. He's definitely the best player mentioned so far.

(Well, apart from Pirlo, but I'm going to pretend that never happened because Saints fans should be smarter than that.)
