West Ham talking to Ambrosini about moving to them. How old is he now?

They are more than welcome to buy players aged 30+. Just a short term solution.

I am having this argument on Twitter now. Saying I'd not want to be a WH fan with a buying policy of 30+ 'names' on large wages.

Then the first reply? "Where did Southampton finish?" - Yawn.

I really don't get what everyone doesn't like about him. Good tackler and has decent passing on him. Rocket of a shot too. He dominated us in the 1st half at St Mary's when he was taken off in the 2nd half we really got back into the game.

His wages are far to high for his talent.

He gets injured a lot, big wages, and the mobility of a three-wheel lorry with rusty wheels.

You may remember from the summer window, I spoke to someone who told me Yoshida had signed and about the details of the Gaston deal in advance of the formal announcements...

...well a user on SaintsWeb known as Crab Lungs (Ben) I know speaks to the same person at SFC, and he posted this up over there...

* Cortese wants Europe within 2 seasons
* He's going to splash to cash both on and off the field
* Firstly, expect a couple of big signings (don't know when, but he's going to really go for it)
* £1m will be spent on revamping the corporate/media side of things to be aligned with European football, for example, the ground must have 40 different camera angles for European matches (I don't know the rules/regs on this, but that's what I was told)
* If we qualify for Europe the stadium will be expanded, with an additional tier added to the Kingsland.

Not heard anything myself but haven't pestered the guy at all myself..... yet. May have to drop an inbox in the next 2 or 3 weeks.

Ask him if we're getting a new PA system it's ****.

I can't see burnley letting him go for less than J-Rod. He's their top striker.

This, Rodriguez's transfer fee is probably the best marker you could ever have for how much Austin would set you back. Rodriguez seems to be one of the most well rounded personalities in football, whereas every account I have heard of Austin has been poor. Pass.
