I see Wigan have had a bid of 850k turned down for Albert Adomah.

For that sort of money I think it might be worth us taking a risk on him. I know he doesn't exactly bring the wow factor as a signing but I think he is potentially a very good player. He brings power, pace and would be good to have the option of a right sided winger who looks to get to the byline and get crosses in.

Hopefully we have the cash to bring in a top quality winger but if we can't get anyone, then we could do a lot worse that Adomah.

IMO he is no better than we already have (Punch/Mayuka). Plus, he will never be good enough for the 'top 6' we are aiming for, so it will be one to get off the wage bill in a few years time anyway

Adomah's good at championship level, but he's pretty raw and personally I don't see him ever making any waves in the premier league.

Seem to remember we all raved about him after City did the double on us but he was a bit disappointing last season. For that money though it's a low risk punt!

Adomah? Oh god no. We looking to improve, and he is not an improvement.

I'd take a punt on Adomah for anything under £1m. Almost a no lose situation. If he comes off, it's a fantastic investment. If he doesn't, then we'd easily be able to recoup at least £500k through selling him back to the Championship.

Very raw, and probably isn't good enough to ever be a top 10 team PL player. But you never know; I do think there is something about him.

I remember when Adomah and Maynard had us on toast at Ashton Gate. Can't see Cortese looking at him for a top class Premier League standard winger.

Just because a player costs next to nothing, that doesn't mean there's no downside to signing him. I don't want the dressing room filled with unhappy players.

Shows how our expectations have changed and I agree he's not good enough now. At tghat amount though it's not an expensive gamble.

Plus, with the limit on registered players, you can't exactly stockpile players with impunity.

I wouldn't have ever thought he was good enough, I've never been a fan. I could only see him being out of his depth in the Prem.

Very true. I wish we would just get rid of him, but I understand why there are no takers. Same for Lee - especially with his 18k a week wages.
