    Maybe we need an extra category between 'solid' and 'tenuous'? If tenuous is going to have everything that is ever mentioned anywhere, we need a 'plausible' or something for things which are more than tenuous but don't have confirmation.

    'Tenuous' works for me as a catchall for any times that we're linked to a player but with no real indication that an approach has taken place. Subdivide it any further and it'll just be arguing over what falls into each category.

    Yeah, my concern though is when 'tenuous' has 100 players in it it becomes essentially useless.

    Perhaps we need a 'Lawro category' for players who will never sign for Saints and yet strangely do. The trouble with a thread like this is that it leaves no room for a Saint ***** thread like our Saint Gaston one, though hopefully we can resurrect Saint Davide.

    Trouble is When you try to update a thread like this, eventually there is so many pages it is nigh impossible for phone users to access it. May I suggest every 10 pages or so, you copy and paste your updates on to a new post, so they are easily accessible to all? Is that a reasonable solution for you guys on the phone a lot? what say you guys?

    I'd rather have neither... and I don't see us paying the sort of wages Lescott would want. Townsend could be a good shout though!
