Yeah, the Herrera rumour is doing the rounds. I think it's 36m EUR rather than GBP, as I think that's his release clause. Still, hard to tell what he's done to justify that fee.
Having glanced at their watches and noticed that it's Insane Transfer O'Clock, Liverpool has (according to beIN) offered €23m plus add-ons for Mamadou Sakho, who is in the last year of his contract and was thus expected to go for a third of that or less.
They really are building one hell of a team there. Or at least, one hell of a group of talented individuals.
Seems to be a lot of people who now think that we wont delve in the transfer market once more before it shuts. MP has said we're not looking, but if the right player comes up at the right price we'd go in. Can certainly see a few fringe players going out, but I still think there might be a little smoke screen for an arrival here somewhere. Was dissapointed in January and maybe we are all done, but something tells me that there might be one more and it might be another significant signing, especially after letting Punch go - know a lot of people see it that Gaston, JRod and Mayuka are going to get more game time on the flanks, but the only actual wide player we now have is Adz. That said I can still very much see something happening not wide midfield, but just in behind... Maybe loans instead though, but the quality is usually not as good :-(
Palermi saying Liverpool are going for Damiao and Arsenal are going for Quagliarella. Not sure what to think, this could be attention seeker bs that he could use the 'they came in to late' excuse when it doesn't happen.
