Don't let it stress you out. The media can put whatever price they want on him. We all know that there is no way we would even consider £10 million.

 

Quite pleased about the sinclair rumours as he clearly can be a top player. Other than puncheon we don't really have a proper wideman with both Jay Rod and lallana more than capable but lacking an allround game and pace respectively.

After the window we've had we can definitely afford for sinclair to not work out. I would be inclined to buy him straight up at the cheap price of 5mil as it would be gutting if he had a brilliant season and then went back to city.

 

Any idea of the option to buy is a First Option or an option at a pre-set price?

 

I wouldn't have even bothered replacing Puncheon, especially if we're going o pay some of Sonclair's wage

 

Well a guy who gets a lot of stuff right on Saints has said:

"The problem with Sinclair is going to be wages. Looks like Man City were prepared to loan him to WBA with a commitment they would buy after. I would imagine the "on our terms" is that he will have to take a substantial drop and we will buy him outright now. The £5m price tag does not look like a problem. For those reasons I agree with Monk, this will go down to the wire unless WBA agree to the commitment."



Monk, who knows members of Saints coaching staff has said:

"Expect Sinclair. Sinclair, we are only pursuing if the deal is right. I'm not expecting us to rush this one, may be our deadline day swoop."



It tallies up.

 

He could score 20 goals and be the first name on our teamsheet each week, and still City wouldn't want him back. Someone else may try a swoop, though.

 

He'll be our first 'champagne footballer', if that's the right term. Celeb blonde girlfriend, out in bars etc. Hope that doesn't have an adverse influence on our angels...

 

I'm indifferent to Sinclair. I think Gaston, Lallana, JWP and J-Rod could all do a great job on the right, each bringing something different. Gaston cutting in, Lallana with his two-footed approach, JWP defensively solid and looking to get in early crosses (as at WBA) and J-Rod pwoering to the byeline and getting crosses in. But he's definitely got talent and I'd back MP to extract every ounce of it.

 

And there's also Lloyd Isgrove waiting in the wings...

 

he's off to besiktas on loan until the end of the season.

 

An almighty fail really that one, so glad you guys ended up with him instead of us.

Agree. I think SS will realise he made a mistake in going to MCFC and will want to rectify that. I'm all for it if it is on NC's terms.

I'd be happy with Sinclair. Family should help him settle.

 

Think Cesar might still happen, particularly if Ches wobbles again in the next few games.

 

They're being linked with Casillas today. Can't really see that now Mourinho's left Real.

 

I still can't understand loaning out Puncheon to replace him with a season-long loan Sinclair. Just doesn't make sense to me.
