can't fault the strategy. Weren't we supposed to be paying 20m+ for Osvaldo, in the end it turned out to be 15m including clauses.
Can't see it, wouldn't be surprised if we had him marked as a back up option to Osvaldo, but surely our interest would cease now?
I don't know, it doesn't seem that wise to me. Moyes will just piss Everton off with bids like that, and there's no realistic prospect of them accepting. Smacks of desperation a bit.
Unfollowed nixon last night him saying Yoshida and Ramirez had bombed, that's why they didn't start on Saturday was just sad. He also said since we have signed players for big money we haven't been doing well and it's still questionable if Cortese knows what he is doing.
Who is this plonker I keep reading you lot referring to. Is he a professional with a grudge or a twisted amateur..?
He's a Journo that had a lot of info last season on our transfers. Seems to have changed into a Cortese bitching twat tho.
I still think he pissed someone off at the club and so his ties have been severed - hence the agenda he seems to have. He's banging on about how none of the big money signings work for us and the main players on Saturday have been there years. Conveniently forgetting about Lovren and Wanyama's performances.....
I still don't know how Arsenal finish top 4 every season, I can only remember the games they lose, and there is a lot of them
Nixon now arguing that our signings last season were poor. It's been pointed out that Boruc, Clyne, Davis, Rodriguez and Yoshida could hardly be considered that. His counter argument being that Clyne was on the bench and Yoshida wasn't even in the squad. Whatever happened to journalistic integrity?
He seems to have had it in for Cortese for some time now, so this doesn't surprise me. I stopped following him and Le Tiss a long time ago (although granted, the Le Tiss unfollowing was also because of all the annoying timeline-clogging Q&As that he does).
After watching their comical defending yesterday, I guess they have to bring someone like him in. You see their positioning for that Villa counter attack? Boggles the mind.
It does, that seems more of a tactical thing than personnel though. Presumably Alderweireld would be up for the corner anyway. I think it was Poyet who said Jenkinson obviously thought there was someone behind him, but as they were chasing the game they had an extra man up for the corner, which makes sense as an explanation to me. Seems like a lack of tactical awareness in the first game of the season which I guess can happen.
