You also have to consider that it would be very difficult to persuade a top class midfielder to join our club? The only reason we would sell is if he wanted to leave and he doesn't so end of discussion!

I'm not saying we should sell him, and I'm not saying he will definately stay, but IMO, we will not accept below £20m (what he is worth) and no one will pay £30m+ (what we would accept). But, if the player wants to leave...there is no point in keeping a player that doesn't want to be there for whatever reason. So we would sell in that case, yes?

He signed a new deal not too long ago. Why would he want to leave now we are pushing on and looking to bring in better players?

 

If we wouldn't accept less than £30m, then he's not worth £20m, he's worth £30m.
