Excellent news...... Fulham Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of England international Scott Parker from Tottenham Hotspur on a three-year deal, for an undisclosed fee which will see the player at the Club until at least the summer of 2016.
Posting because one has been mentioned here and the other could/should (?) be: The Croydon Advertiser is saying that Palace have put in an offer for Cresswell of Ipswich and are negotiating to get Puncheon of Southampton on loan.
Toulouse are preparing an initial loan deal for Clement Chantome Source: http://talksport.com/football/toulouse-join-fulham-eyeing-psg-midfielder-13082056399#E0p06fPgoX4eBLHt.99 COME ON YOU WHITES!!!!!
Two players that Sky bet have linked to us which I hadn't heard before Aidien McGeady - we are second favourites behind Everton Adam Le Fondre - @ 2/1 favourites.
No thanks to both. We have enough strikers now with Bent/Berbatov/Rodallega if Jol is insisting on one up top, but if we were to sell Hugo then LeFondre wouldn't be a bad replacement.
Wasnât aware that we had shown an interest in Marcos Arouca. However there are several reports that did but have now decided against. please log in to view this image âMartin Jol has reportedly ended his bid to take Santos midfielder Arouca to Fulham following his capture of Tottenham's Scott Parker. The Cottagers boss had been linked with a transfer window swoop for the highly-rated Brazil star who has won four caps for his country to date. However, following Jol's successful deal to take Spurs' combative 32-year-old England international midfield man Parker to Craven Cottage on a three-year deal on Monday evening, it seems he has decided not to continue his pursuit of Arouca. Santos were thought to be looking to at a fee of around £5million for Arouca which Jol was not keen on paying out so it seems the Parker deal works out best for the Cottagers.â Source: http://www.clubcall.com/fulham/cottagers-end-arouca-interest-1620259.html.
We know an unhappy JAR would like to leave but are there other moves among our back four in the offing? In his post-Parma match interview Jol hinted that he was looking to bring someone in saying, “and maybe at the back because you never know what might happen in the next two weeks (in the transfer window).” Over the last week we have been linked with David Dunn of Blackburn and yesterday, according to Eurosport we are interested in Parma and Tunisia centre half Yohan Benalouane. The latest story is that we are looking at Eric Dier the Sporting Lisbon England U21 centre half. (along with arch rivals Spurs!) “Reports in Portugal suggest that Dier is unhappy at not being part of the starting line-up at Sporting and could be ready to return to England. According to Portugese paper Record, Tottenham and Fulham have been closely monitoring Dier's progress and would be willing to pay up to €5m (£4.2m) for the 19-year-old. Cheltenham-born Dier moved to Portugal as a 10-year-old in 2004 and remained there as part of Sporting's academy even after his parents returned home in 2010. Dier had a brief spell on loan at Everton in 2011 where he trained with the youth team as part of his development. Versatile defender Dier, who can play centrally or as a full-back, as well as in midfield, was part of Peter Taylor's Under-20 squad that went to the World Cup in Turkey earlier this summer and made his debut for England's Under-21's in their 6-0 thrashing of Scotland after coming on as a 73rd minute substitute“. A downside is that a third party holds 50% ownership of him.
Could be a good deal Cottager, but with the money Spurs are shortly to aquire they can afford 6/7mil and stick the lad in the reserves. Still i suppose we could take him on loan.
German paper Wese-Kurier is reporting that Bremen are trying to finalise a deal for JAR - they failed to get somebody else from, Ithink it was, Wolfsburg. German side Werder Bremen are ready to move for Fulham full-back John Arne Riise, who has been allowed to move on as a free agent. Riise has a year left on his contract but has revealed he will be allowed to move on if he can find a club before the transfer window closes on September 2. The 32-year-old was a regular for the Cottagers last season but wasn't included in the squad for the opening-day victory at Sunderland as Kieran Richardson started at left-back. PS The Clement Chantome move to Toulouse has been confirmed. I suppose it's the safer option for him with World Cup places at stake but drat! blast!.....
Italian papers are saying we’re again showing interest in Ezequiel Schelloto - an unloved player available on loan, so ticks the boxes. The 24 year old ‘inside forward’ has plenty of pace and will certainly match Bryan in the hair stakes. please log in to view this image ”Fulham and Crystal Palace are the latest clubs reported to be interested in Inter outcast Ezequiel Schelotto. The Italy international of Argentine descent is not part of Walter Mazzarri’s plans and was left behind for their American pre-season tour. He only joined the Nerazzurri in January for €6m, but struggled to make an impact and has now been frozen out completely. . Schelotto would be available on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.” Source: http://www.football-italia.net/38650/fulham-and-palace-schelotto PS Just for Cookie - Will Hughes looks Liverpool bound !!
Still hope for Diarra http://www.fulhamchronicle.co.uk/fulham-fc/2013/08/22/diarra-handed-fulham-chance-82029-33758448/
The thing with Diarra will he be named in the 25 squad members if it's going to take 4-5 weeks to find out if he's going to make it. Is he still registered as one of our players or is he a free agent ? Are we waiting for Manolev and Enoh to be put on free transfers ? How many loan players are allowed ?
Will Hughes off to Liverpool! Damn suppose they are a bigger club but if the rumours of him going for 6/7 million we should have gone for it. £3 million for for 32 year old Scott Parker or £6 million for 17 year old Hughes??? Despite his age I still believe he could have gone straight into our team he looks a class act
Not totally sure but I think, it's two domestic loans and four in total at any one time (in the 25 man squad). Since we already had the two domestics (Taarabt and Bent) that's presumably why there was no option but to buy Parker.
Jol confirms he wants a full back and one more, but...... MARTIN Jol still wants two more players to complete his Fulham squad. The arrival of Scott Parker this week took the number of summer signings to seven – and boss Jol says there could be more through the door. The Dutchman needs cover for Sascha Riether at right-back and is also considering another new player to add more depth to his squad. “It's not difficult to see what we lack,” said Jol. “There's still 10 days to go. We're one or two players short, but if it stays how it is I'll be happy.” Of course I'd love to see a classy left back but we've made it clear we're not going to fork out money for that position. I reckon it will be Stan Manolev and that will be it. PS The article says 7 signings but is it not technically 8 - we brought Kara back. Source: http://www.fulhamchronicle.co.uk/fulham-fc/2013/08/23/82029-33764029/#ixzz2cp6i6Uy1 Of course I'd love to see a classy left back but the Club have made it clear that we're not going to fork out money for that position. I reckon the only addition will be Stan Manolev. PS The article says we've made 7 signings but is not (at least technically) 8 - we brought Kara back.
Apologies but I just had to post this for Fulhaman: QPR midfielder Stephane Mbia has joined Sevilla on a season-long loan.
