I was hoping to get back from my hols and see a bit more action on this thread.

We have made some good signings to be fair and maybe Deeney and Grey will come good this season.

I wonder if we will get anyone in last minute...

 

Danny Welbeck would be good

 

I adore Welbeck, and he’d get the chance to play week in week out, but can you imagine what he’d cost? Let alone his wages. But nice dreamin’, duggie.

 

Watford’s Daniel Bachmann will spend the next year in the Scottish Premiership, after the Austrian goalkeeper signed a season-long loan deal with Kilmarnock.

 

Would have plenty of company when he inevitably gets injured, so would fit right in.....

 

This has been such a depressing window! We all know what we need and we aren't getting what is glaringly obvious. Very upsetting! For once i'm dreading the season.

 

I have just seen that we have bid £54m for a winger
£15m for Welbeck would be bargain basement
20 to 30 games and 15 goals would mean the difference between below 10th and pushing for 7th
The second half against Sampdoria has made me a bit more optimistic

I am not sure about that H, we have got a new LB, RB, GK to shore up the defence. Also, GD (sort of newish signing) and KS coming in on the wing. The young CB might also help. Deeney and Grey might come good and with some CBs fit we might be ok again. It's not been that bad at all I reckon.

The striker scored seven goals whilst on-loan at Falkirk last season.

 

Thought he might get a chance this season .

for 1m, that's a steal. I was hoping we could hang on to him, but I think he believed he wasn't going to get many minutes with us compared with signing for you. Will be interesting to see ho whe gets on, considering the other clubs that were enquiring (including Real Madrid) he should have a big future.

Well I mean to get something so basic like saying a player who didn't play for us last season was our best one is just scandalous!

 

Is the lad able to bag 12-15 goals for us this season? IF so, it is the signing we were hoping for.

Ha, everyone is looking for a midfielder that scores 12-15, I doubt it'll be him, not this season anyway, one for the future yea, he was on the cusp of the first team squad but on;y got on the pitch 6 times in 2 years.
yes and no, we've spent a lot, pretty much buying a new first XI, history shows that generally doesn;t work too well at first, and if we get off to a bad start I worry about the atmosphere which will negatively affect performances on the pitch. I think less than 50 points will be a very poor season, all things considered.

 

I'd take 40 for us now!!!!
