    Cesar
    Onohua-Samba-Hill-Fabio
    Hoilett-Jenas-Mbia-Traore
    Taarabt
    Remy

    4-4-1-1

Pacy, attacking - solid through the centre midfield

Subs: Green, Ben Haim, Suk Young, Derry, Granero, Townsend, Zamora

Cesar - first on the team sheet - inspirational of late
Onohua - Deserves his place, been much improved recently, good pace helps him to recover even when his positioning is questionable
Samba - Not 100% fit, but hopefully should be able to do a job, offers a genuine threat at set pieces, Ben Haim as backup for last quarter of an hour.
Hill - Skipper, deserves his place
Fabio - Again, recent form excellent, has shown he's prepared to put in a shift and should link well down the left with Traore
Hoilett - Pace, bit of a toss up between him and SWP, but we should be using him. Has undoubted ability, but not being in the side can't be good for his morale and with Onohua behind him can have more of a licence to get forward. Playing him on the left means he has to cut in all the time... perhaps on the right he has the option to run at and beat defenders on the outside and be able to get the ball in the box
Jenas - Not 100% on this one, but I think Harry will use him as he is a more positive player than Derry. Brings equal experience and adds passing vision. Good carrier of the ball. Granero has seemed a bit lost recently, but I can see why others would prefer him to give continuity.
Mbia -if Jenas plays, should be more holding. There to snuff out threats and break up the oppositions play - been working hard if a bit dramatic from time to time
Traore - Has shown he can move quickly with the ball and seems better suited to the left midfield than defence
Taarabt - in the hole. A more solid midfield should free him up a bit to develop the partnership with the striker and get forward a bit more.
Remy - Can score goals, lots of goals, that is all. Be very interesting to see him up front with BZ, but it would leave us to light elsewhere. Might be an option if we are chasing the game and go three at the back.

Probably bollocks, but tomorrow all will be revealed!

Chris Samba will help put Johnson & Holt in their places.

I guess that sort of thing happens when you Suk Young?

Excellent report there, mate ................. as you say, Samba first half, may be Hiam for the last quarter and Jenas & Derry each half.
I think this outing for us will show a thing or two.

As I've said before, only Samba comes in (to replace Nelson).

The others need to be bedded in slowly as we'll lose our core and flow, again!

Well constructed post Seagull, I think SWP will start rather than Hoilett and Townsend may start rather than Traore as he's an out and out winger and will give our attack a bit more bite. We have to be looking to win this one...

We need to start taking games to the opposition and show more creativity and quality up front. I would love to see more of Hoilett as well as Townsend and Jenas. Not sure how much more bedding in time we can afford.

All I mean is that for two or three games we use the new players as subs, thus getting them a feel of how QPR are playing at the moment. We are already on the mend with what we have so there's no need to panic. With the team we played in the last league game, we can beat Norwich, especially with Samba in.

I agree. You can only get out of the mess we're in with a bit of balls.

I think you could be right. As AJwm said, we need to introduce the new ones slowly so we don't upset the momentum that the team have gained. I don't know Townsend very well, and as an U21 wasn't sure if he's ready to be thrown into the cauldron straight away. If so then yes, perhaps SWP would be the better option on the right for his tracking back and the general experience he offers. As I said, I think we need to start thinking of Hoilett as a regular at some point. The experience we had with Puncheon and how he has subsequently performed at the Saints shows that if you give players game time, and if they have the talent, they will come good. We seem unable to settle on a 'best 11' which can't be helpful to the younger squad members who play so infrequently - I'm sure it effects on morale too which in our situation is critical to us grinding out results especially when (as we have so frequently done) we go a goal down early in games.

Either way I totally agree, we have necessarily been cautious in the games against Spurs, City and Chelsea, but this is a game we should be thinking we 'will' win. We need to be aggressive, and take the initiative and the game to them. We know 'arry is not the best tactician, but his ability to inspire, motivate and get the best out of players is unquestionable. One thing we are sorely lacking has been width and support to the attack. The only time we get more than one man in the box has been set pieces - that needs to change. Much as I love seeing us sweep up the pitch in a devastating counter-attack, it's always on the back of a period of intense pressure. In the main, we sit far too deep and let teams boss us around. It's inevitable that we will concede more goals when we concede 70% possession than when we're 59:50.

Today needs to see a shift in that pattern! Today is the day when we should get a good idea about whether we have a chance of surviving. Today we have to be QPR!

Is he ready yet to cope with being pushed in the EPL firing line. Don't want the lad torn apart and losing confidence. The way fickle fans are right now, they'd tear him apart before he could settle in. Not a time for testing waters. Have to hit the ground running.

Big test for Harry and his staff today. They have shown that they are capable of tightening up our defence. That in itself is a minor miracle.
Today however is a different test. Harry must set the team up to be creative and attacking. We are at home and have to dictate the pace against a team that we should be capable of beating.
In the last few games our players have withdrawn into our own half when not in possession of the ball to defend in numbers. We did not close down the opposition high up the pitch and basically allowed teams to have the ball where they couldn't hurt us. IMO, today we have to close down Norwich higher up the pitch and squeeze them when in possession. Our players have to show courage and actively look to get their foot on the ball. I'll be pi**ed off if we sit deep and allow Norwich easy ball. We have shown in recent weeks that this team can defend. Today has to be the day when we show the Prem that we can also be creative. Come on you Rrrrsssss.
