I’ve been reading the reports on the BBC about a young soldier who took her own life after receiving relentless sexual harassment from one of her colleagues. She was also sexually assaulted by a Sergeant Major. The army essentially didn’t believe her and tried to get her to drop the allegations.
As much as I loved my time in the army and wouldn’t have swapped any of my time, I can see what’s gone on. She was very pretty and that made her a target for the male soldiers. In typical army fashion they tried to make the allegations go away instead of actually dealing with them.
