Every town has a self-appointed, self-regarding, small-minded, self-unaware sneery **** too, I should imagine. Though where you would find them is anyone’s guess.
Cringeworthy stuff that reeks of insecurity. Overnight allegiance to various ‘Big club’ vermin is as old as Papa Allam himself. The fickle and multi shirt wearing types that plague our City can only be irradiated by local success. You know who you are... Allams OUT.
In your Liverpool slums, You look in the dustbin for something to eat, You find a dead rat and you think it's a treat, In your Liverpool slums, In your Liverpool slums, You s**t on the carpet, you p**s in the bath, You finger your grandma, and think its a laugh, In your Liverpool slums, In your Liverpool slums, You speak in an accent exceedingly rare, You wear a pink tracksuit and have curly hair, In your Liverpool slums...
remember going to watch City at Bolton, first match of season in 73 - well pissed off to find that most of the lads who travelled away had gone to watch Man U at Old Trafford instead leaving about 8 of us to face the wrath that was Bolton at that time
That day at Wembley was marred by these idiots . I spoke to a man , could be you, who was like a rabid Tiger shouting at these people that they should be savouring City being in an FA cup semi final not celebrating goals scored by our rivals . I said to him that I was in total agreement.
I don’t have words to describe that moment. Can’t remember which bar we were in around Wembley but I was shocked to say the least. Hundreds of city fans going wild for a Liverpool goal. I think our group of 6 or so we’re the only ones stood still. Utterly shameful.
It wasn't just cheering a goal when you've won a bet or something like that - it was the wild celebration of fans celebrating their team scoring; they were in City shirts but they had **** all to do with the likes of us.
I agree , they were a different breed. Personally no TV's on that Wembley concourse would be showing anything but footage of Hull City .
Spare a thought for those like myself living in Leeds, TWS 'fans' have become unbearable, I mean they were pretty annoying before but now their numbers seem to multiply daily.
They will soon pipe down when they get their arses handed to em by the likes of Wolves and Burnley, let alone MCFC & LFC. What is nauseating is the lazy journalists & pundits saying Leeds back where they belong. They are a yo yo club in this millennium
That's what keeps me going, knowing in a few months time they'll be hating getting beat every week and they'll realise they're maybe not such a big club after all.
