I hate and love suarez on the pitch. For all the talent he has he shames himself with all the cheating. We are English and view the game differently. I play for a British team here in Madrid and the teams we play against are disgraceful, rolling around, asking for cards, screaming like they've been shot. Its an embarrassment. The spanish/latin way is win at all cost even if you cheat, there is no gamesmanship. Did anyone notice simione running up and down the touchline asking the ref for a card after every chelsea challenge. Its disgusting but part of football culture here. P.s Suarez is a c***
I think as fans of British football we choose to ignore when our players do it but love to criticise and hate foreign players that cheat. Our team is fairly honest but you still see Boyd/Myler/Elmo throw themselves to the ground to win free kicks and Bruce screaming for bookings. We are by no means the worst and it may be more obvious with the likes of Suarez who act like they've been shot but cheating is cheating and we should be just as annoyed that our own team do it.
Suarez's Mum must live in Carson City
I think most people had a go at Jelavic for trying to win that free kick on Sunday. I wouldn't put Boyd in that category.
please log in to view this image Just a reminder that Suarez plays in arguably an inferior team to Ronaldo and Messi. He missed the start of the season and has scored in excess of 30 goals come the end of the season, with none coming from penalties dragging Liverpool to the title no doubt. Credit where it is due, I think he's a great player and the Premier League is a better league for showcasing these world class players. As a fan of football and Hull City AFC - I like to see this league fielding the best players possible, Suarez being one. He couldn't get out of Bruce's pocket at the KC.
Err what? I don't see how they contradict at all. I'm arguing that people do acknowledge when a City player dives, e.g. Boyd against Man Hunter, Jelavic against Arsenal, etc. and in the earlier post about Palace I was saying it's frustrating how their diving is so successful. If anything the more recent comment supports it, because neither of those dives were successful in winning a penalty/free kick.
Think you've been in Spain too long now. We have plenty of indigenous cheats now regrettably. Ask the Argies about Michael Owen
