The Guardian already surpassing negro-gate in terms of number of Suarez articles. Barely a day and there's 6 Suarez related articles relating to incident. The fact they pretend to be better than the Fail and co is a joke tbh

I was in the toilet and missed the incident at the time and when I got back I heard the mancs in the bar talking about how bad it was. Of course as the Mancs do have a habbit of over exaggerating every little thing Suarez does I assumed this time would be the same. However in this case it was every bit as bad as what the Mancs were claiming and as much as I would like to I can not defend Suarez

If he was an average player I would probably have him on the transfer list already but because he is an exceptional player and Liverpool would no doubt be in the bottom half of table without him I would not want to lose him. Even if we managed to get £40-£50m for him who could we get of equal class to replace him. We could end up with more players of the calibre of Borini and then we are really in trouble.

But according to Billy, this is all Suarez' fault, the state of the media that is, and only self immolation will sate their need for reprise with some nice pics of Suarez gutting himself in the middle of the pitch ala Seppuku with Stevie chopping his head off at the end.

Billy is making out that in that split second where ivanovic held up Suarez and Luis got frustrated and did something stupid, that he should in that second thought of Anne, god bless her soul, that he should have thought that, pure balls I'm afraid.

And yes we have made sky, make the rags we buy then we read their websites.

I agree with you that Suarez didn't intentionally act to ruin the occasion and celebration of Anne.

However I can understand Billy's comments as Suarez's actions (intentionally or unintentionally) did deflect the attention away from her.

I'm in the keep him camp but I feel that this is his last chance, I didn't condone or back him in the last issue but this one is quite clear. Suarez shouldn't have done it, the club need to deal with him but I don't want us to sell him.

You complete idiot<laugh> The media and what they print is OUR fault<doh> Man you are an idiot, can't even read it seems, actually, "It's You're calling Billy a broken record?"

Yes, Eric is thick as ****<ok>

What were you saying ???

Would I need as question mark if I was saying you are ?

You going on at my spelling must be an all time low in my life :( .

I did actually mean You not you're. As in are you not you are.

As for being thick, I've forgotten more than you will ever know <ok>

You might want to check your own posts before trying to be clever on others.

Its a tricky one for me really. I don't want to sell him, but if the board want to sell him then fair enough - however, if they think it's acceptable to accept a 'cut price' for him, then they are mistaken. I've read figures of £30-35m for him!! If we are going to sell him, get £50m or more.

But I reiterate that I do not want to sell him.

I say it again: other leagues don''t see cheating as the heinous crime the British do. Hell, the French suspended an investigation into Ribery soliciting an under-age prostitute so he could play in the World Cup. All this will do is drive the price down because other clubs will know the Yanks are PR-sensitive so this could be the last straw.

You may be right there, all the talk from fans about sell him keep him may not matter if the owners decide enough is enough. If they sell will they then make sure we get a replacement?

Cheers mods - Board in pretty good state at the moment, and having the one SUarez article really helps too, keep it up <ok>

They haven't got a choice.

However, attracting players of the same quality is becoming more and more difficult as we enter another season with Champions League, mid table position and potentially without a star name.

Alternatively, we could get lucky and conduct some good business for a change - Sturridge and Coutinho were good examples.

In case people missed it LFC scored two goals yesterday... why?

No nothing to do with suarez bar him passing for one and tapping in the other... lets not even go there....

FINALLY SOMEONE GOT IN THE BLOODY BOX!!!

Both goals we scored were from crosses and both had players in the 6 yard box on the end of them.

Now for the rest of the game we could see our lads hanging round on the 18 yard line for a threaded pass or coming deep for a pass vacating said danger area totally. When oh when will LFC realise that the only way to score goals is to be in the real danger area.

We've got two really advanced full backs and two wingers on the pitch but never get in the 6 yard box. One really dangerous ball got played in the first half and countinho was the only guy trying to get in there and even he was late getting in..... Against west ham i counted 3 tap ins from really dangerous balls driven low across the 6 yard area. nobody in on it... Against reading we were not getting behind them either.

High time we stopped messing about and focused on the real danger areas in football.

YEa they were good business, but compared to Suarez? Not even close. Suarez is a once in a decade player for us, we won't get a forward as good as him for the next 10 years at best

Also both goals came from the Suarez/Sturridge link up (think Suarez's was Sturridge assist?)

I don't think there are right or wrong ways to view this. I'm in the keep him camp but can see why some people will be the opposite I don't think it's my job to start telling other Liverpool fans that they are wrong to take a moral stand on this even if I disagree, we will get enough stick from the media and other fans without turning on each other.

I would noty accept anyting less than £45m. If they don't want to pay it then quite simply Suarez stays. I know he has a lot of baggage but he is so damn good and I dont want to lose him

True but we said the same when we sold Torres? Don't get me wrong, I think we should keep Suarez without a doubt but selling him wouldn't be the end of the world however I think it would slow down our progress.

I hope the board don't sell him because it's 'bad for PR'. People forget these sort of things - Cantona kicked a fan, he was banned, came back and was an awesome player that helped Utd win titles. Winning games, cups and leagues is good for PR and when that happens, people often forget the bad stuff.

Board need to stay strong.

I'm still shocked so many people are surprised by this event.

5 games don't go by but he does something. he is and always has been the dirtiest player i've always seen. Now one of his antics ever look like breaking a leg but they are all cynical wind up, type fouls digs, pulls etc. He's always at it.

I just saw a typical suarez game, makes one, scores one, angers the world with a piece of madness.

I won't defend him for sure but I just think people are a bit naive to think he won't keep doing it.

Now there is one thing i really need and want to say. I apologise for offense to LFC fans who might have or though of saying it. STOP TALKING ****E ABOUT CANTONA!!! I think any LFC fan mouthing off about cantona sounds like a fool. the guy merely kicked and assaulted a "fan" who was abusing him racially. he didn't do anything before it or after it so anyone comparing one incident to a guy with such a track record as suarez just comes off like a fool. Keane i can understand, he was always their thug but i notice nobody is on about the likes of barton are they... the obviousness of the bias against utd who were not even involved merely invites ferguson to have a go and wind you all up as i kind of hope he does. stop compring it to utd and just accept its what the guy is like.

two week fine (max we can give internally) and say enforced counselling to come form LFC then the FA will empanel and proabably hand out a big fine and some suspension 6-10 games... quite simple.

yes but anyone getting in the box in danger areas will make goals. didn't countinho make one that EVEN downing could tap in?

If i were a side playing lfc i'd love us to keep dropping off. 90% of our games are zero danger to sides.

Lack of bodies has been a problem for the past 2 years. It seems to have improved since Sturridge has come (and Coutinho).

Only Enrique, Coutinho, Suarez and Sturridge seem to want to drive into the box - the rest just hang around.

Suarez as the lone striker is not working - our midfield isn't good enough to create and get close to him, which then leaves him isolated and then he is forced to drop deep to receive the ball. This then creates a big gap up front and no one fills it. Sturridge has to play for the same reason Henderson plays - he gives us more balance in that area.
