The lads alright, just love the way he acts as an authority on all subjects, and takes the moral high ground. But in the instance of racism, judging by his comments in this thread and others I would conclude he is very ignorent in terms of racial awareness.

    Spot on.

There is a racism industry now and like all industries they will spin every issue in a way that benefits them most.

    See above.

It is purely down to the artists you listen to. Claiming that all hip hop is disparaging to women and is massively violent is a false statement.

I'll say it again Hip Hop originates from black culture, no matter how violent or pacifist it is. Claiming that there is no correlation between them is outrageous.

I personally prefer the music of Common to that of Lil Wayne, guess which one isn't violent or degrades women.

wrong baz, racism is often used as an umbrella term for all forms of derogatory insults.

people mindlessly calling everything racist doesn't achieve anything rather it makes a mockery of all the hard work done over the years against racism.

can yo be racist to the French? yes but only if you refer to their skin colour. calling them French cowards is not raciat bit calling the white French cowards is. the reaaon is tye word white. its the same with calling an African a ****. its not racist at all. add the word black and suddenly ita racist.

racism applies to races and nothing more. what people often claim as racism is often something different like xenophobia. the reason people cant understand the difference is the media have shoved it down our throats how everything is now racist. terrif is the perfect example of such a person.

and yes baz, both are wrong bit to combat either you must understand the differences.

    Please define "in the know"

I wasn't aware there was any secret or specialist knowledge required regarding this subject.

As for BR? Did he really think by making ANY statement regarding this that it would do anything but the opposite of the statements intent?

This isn't a rehash of one past incident; it is the evolution of events growing from the precedent set by the FA & media which has gone beyond what they intended originally.

I.e. as predicted it is coming back to bite them in the arse. This alone is worth commenting further on and yes it will mean referencing what started it all off but it's not necessarily rehashing.

Are you attempting to say nothing posted on here will resolve the issue? Maybe not; but then why discuss any aspect of football, politics, social issues etc as we are unlikely to have anything but a minimal impact as individuals?

I probably sound like an old fart again but that might just be because I am one. Or at least heading that way quickly...:D

Can this thread just be closed now please. Rodgers was mainly trying to say how he is looking forward to having Suarez back and ssn have turned it around about racism again.
Suarez, Terry and Ferdinand were all racist, thats about it.

I will admit my hip hop comment was pretty general but I stand by my views based on mainstream hip hop. I have been told by a few people that underground hip hop is nothing like the top 40 ****e. being someone who considers all chart music to be ****e I accept I was wrong.

Totally agree with your post Dave.

Over compensation for historical wrongs will lead to similar wrongs. I do believe it will balance out eventually.

It's just sad to think we're still, for all our effort quite an immature culture in dealing with our own diversity. I think the form of multiculturalism we've pursued for the last 40yrs was a strange attempt to produce a beige people rather than a dynamic & diverse collection of people.

The special interest groups can only use the "it still exists" excuse to their people for so long as an explanation for stagnation or depravation.

But I do agree with MITO in hoping that Suarez has said his bit, we all know & appreciate how he feels and now want him to do what's good for the club & himself: play football & win games.

But the FA will play are large role into how long this conversation keeps cropping up.

I do apologise for my horrific spelling and grammar. im on my phone and its a pain in the arse typing anything more than a few words without hitting the letter next to the one I was meant to hit.

I could proof read but then again I could just click post anyway and not be arsed about it. I choose the latter.

It gets on my nerves people trying to control which subjects should be discussed.

I have totally changed my views on the subjects discussed this since this morning, in a good way, it can be healthy to discuss these things.

Things like this can't be just brushed under the carpet.

child, grow the **** up seriously.

if you genuinely dont know what racism us and dont know the worlds races then this discussion isnt for you.

I am fully aware that you are on a wind up but fail to understand why you choose threads about racism to do so.

as for laughing at me... go ahead. everyone else is laughing at you. they did the last time aswell. see unlike you most people can tell the difference between racism and ither derogatory actions. once you have grown up and figured it out you can come back here and get involved.

awaits this ****tards usual moronic reply. be the same rubbish as always.

funny how you get crucified everytime ypu comment on another clubs board though isnt it. feel all safe and secure on your own board eh terrif?

I know of 2 people who dont know what racism is. one was as racist as nick griffin and the other is you terrif. I think stupidity is your reason mind.

    least I hope so.
