Of course it's not ranked as high as other tournaments but does that mean we should just dismiss it? And I think you'll find that a lot of players do take it seriously particularly from countries in Latin America. At the end of the day, it's a tournament for u23 (with a few exceptions) - these youngsters should be jumping for the chance to play on the world stage amongst other talents. Winning these tournaments can help develop the youngsters so they get used to big stadiums and crowds etc. It can only aid their development further. Instead of knocking it, try embracing it and use it as a platform to develop these youngsters. Like I said, it's an example of typical British arrogance that we believe this tournament is beneath us.
The Olympics have now gone from a good viewing of sportsmanship and nice family days out to a disgusting abomination with this man's inclusion.
Dont see how Suarez is gonna miss PL games as, the PL starts the week after the Olympic Final, surely he will just miss pre season. In fact his pre season will bee the olympics
I am the only one wondering why Bellamy is in the squad as we all now with his dodgy knees he struggles to play 2 games in a week.
