I'd certainly leave him out for the Sunderland game, but it's essential Kuyt plays if he does miss it, and possibly Rodriguez as well, rather than Downing. Carroll isn't known for his immense finishing and Kuyt and Rodriguez can certainly help in that department, although playing Maxi isn't essential. Particularly as we have such good creative options in the midfield three. Stick Henderson in the middle with Adam and just get them to ping it all day long, hell, even Lucas can help out there. Possibly back for Arsenal though.
It said on Sky Sports News this morning that Suarez will be back and have had time to train with the new boy's before the start of the season fixture against Sunderland. Although I would argue whether it's worth putting him in a game like against Sunderland, who in hindsight we should beat without too much strife, and unleash him on the Arsenal fixture a week after....
