Don't know what UIR's bragging about, the only reason he gets some is because he's married to his right hand.
Actually it is close. But we're agreed that RVP isn't even in the discussion for best striker in Manchester.
Aguero & Suarez are different players and have different strengths. Aguero is a better natural finisher than Suarez, but Suarez is much more likely to create something. Also better at set pieces then Aguero. Stick them together and could be one hell of a partnership
That would be an amazing partnership. I'd rather have Suarez myself and he fit's better into our team as he'll score from nothing and set goals up from nothing. Whereas Aguero needs the service, if he get's service he'll score, no doubt. City have the midfield that's perfect for Aguero whereas we don't, therefore Suarez fit's our system so much better.
What a player - as others have said, he's just unpredictable. With a lot of strikers, they have a distinct style - you know what they're going to do but you just can't stop it e.g. Torres (in his prime) had that electric pace and had the composure to finish. RVP has a wand of a left foot, and hits the ball with such great technique, power and accuracy. With Suarez, you just don;t know what he's gonna do - he doesn't have a style almost. It's just 'give me the ball, drive into the box, get close to the goal' but any means necessary. I will always have a soft spot for players like Suarez and RVP in that they don't have the express pace of the likes of Messi, Ronaldo, Bale etc. Suarez's game is all about technique and skill. With Messi and co, when all things fail in a match, they can use their speed as an out - this is something that you're just blessed with. Suarez/RVP don't have this luxury - they rely on game intelligence and skill. Real attributes of a footballer.
Suarez is in the top 2. If he's better then Agüero is debatable, but yeah RVP etc. are all pretty far behind. I'll even go as far as saying that the two of them are, in their current form, among the top 3 best strikers in the World at the moment - along with Ibrahimovic. You say that they are very different, but I'll argue that they have some of the same qualities. They both play the South American street fighter free-flowing style that Maradona exemplified (fútbol criollo or la nuestra depending upon who you ask). When it works it's magic on the pitch and at the moment it's working for the both of them.
But the same argument applies to Aguero as it does RvP when comparing to Suarez; they are both strikers but Suarez is so much more than that!
You need to watch Aguero more, by far the best striker in the premiership. The thing is he plays in a team where the goals are spread around, mostly due to him pulling defenders out of position (like RVP) his all round game is as good as anybodys.
And you honestly don't think Suarez pulls defenders out of position Diego? He's the perfect foil for Sturridge, you're letting your Utd bias blind you to not include him in the category as the other two, I'd say that Suarez's game is closer to Aguero's than RVP's, they both have more skill on the ball than RVP.
Don't need to watch him more at all. I rate Aguero very highly and was constantly wanting us to sign him before he went to Man City. But he's not got the same all round game as Suarez.
I reckon he's not of this world That foul on Saturday would have sent most players back to the changing room/hospital.
