Brendan Rodgers is bracing himself for a £40million bid from Bayern Munich for Luis Suarez when Pep Guardiola makes his comeback, writes the Sunday People. Guardiola is a huge fan of the Uruguay star who scored in Liverpool’s 5-0 win over Norwich City yesterday. Former Barca boss Guardiola also has a straight line into Suarez *because his brother is the player’s agent – and a price clause is known to him. Guardiola wants to make a couple of landmark signings when he moves to the German giants in the summer and Suarez is on his short list. **** off Pep
My God, FIFA is real!!!! This transfer happens in everyone one of my careers. 50 million? Just worry about do we ( once again) have the right people to re vamp the team if such a sum came across.
How many stars from Spain & England go to Germany? Hardly any. Might be wrong and Guardiola could change things but I can't see Suarez going to Germany. If he goes it'll be to Real Madrid/Barcelona or Chelsea/City IMO.
He won't go anywhere. He loves liverpool, just signed new contract and if we have any ambition we must keep him. I guess everyone has a price but it would have to be £50 million plus for us to consider it. But I don't see Suarez initiating a move. Doesn't come across as money orientated and why would he go to Germany?
Better support, better teams, better stadiums, better players, better manager. I fully expect him to be off in the summer and Guardiola's Bayern are a perfect match.
All these things are better yet people around the world, mostly, choose to watch the Premier league instead? Hmmm, something's not right here.
No don't think he will unless its an unbelievable offer. Better support....? What are you on about? Better manager..? Well we will wait and see on that.
The bundesliga has far better support. If you buy a ticket for a match, which btw is far far cheaper than here, it also gives you free public transport in that city for the day, i.e. to get to the game and home. Dortmund get over 80 000 every game and Bayern with filling out the Allianz at 70 odd thousand. Shalke and Stuttgart get over 60 000 each. 13 stadiums that get a greater attendance than us and are incredibly loud. The data of the PL being the best supported is false and skewed by the fact we happen to have more teams and therefore play more games. Guardiola is probably better than most managers here and Klopp is fast becoming a great manager.
I can't see Suarez kicking up a fuss about leaving. He signed his contract when we were like 10th in the league? He could easily have said no and asked for a transfer. My only worry is if there was a release clause inserted into his contract which was part of the reason he signed bt hopefully the club weren't stupid enough to do that, or if they did, made it something stupid like £80mil + I said last year that he would score goals for us because he's done it at Ajax and for country. Yes Dutch league is easier to score in, but the fact you still have to hit the target doesn't change in any league. Last year he was missing the target too much, this year he's hitting the target and getting those bits of luck (goal v Sunderland that went through the keeper for example). Think now we have Sturridge as well it'll take even more pressure off him and allow him to relax and carry on this good form. Think could easily have a partnership that can bag 20 each every year. Just need Sterling and the other midfielders to start chipping in with a few more as well now.
