Obviously, hence me saying it would have to be a high figure! That sort of money could make a difference IF we spent it wisely.

Reports today that Lafferpool are prepared to drop their asking price. Seems they are ready to get rid and come Aug 31st the price will be lower and then the owners will be claiming they didn't have time to reinvest and mid table is once again guaranteed.

I wouldn't be surprised if they do drop the asking price. They will not want this dragging on late into August given they play United on Sept 1st. That's a season defining game for them.

I don't know but it's in the press. You have to get news from somewhere and the reporter is known for his Lafferpool bias and previously correct stories. It's also why I said 'reports' <doh>
