I am thinking Markovic and Origi are not Suarez replacements but either

    A)would have signed any way
    b) are now able to join because of extra cash

I expect a high profile striker or false 9 type in.

Echo is pretty reliable so it does seem to be part of the deal.

So a signing, but not for next season really

Think we should have tried this with Barcelona and Suarez...

"OK Barca, you can sign him for £60mill- but you have to loan him back to us for the next 5 seasons"

    Good player but...

    God no!

Suarez is a complete batard on the field. Balotelli is just a complete batard!

Looked terrible at WC. Poor first touch, poor distribution.
I'm sure he'd a good player but hard to judge in a Porto team who dominate the Portuguese league.

  12. If we shouldn't be signing players based on a world cup, surely we shouldn't be ruling them out on one either?

    PS...its a no from me mind <laugh>

    Have we signed Reus yet?

I reckon Balotelli could be a really good player for us if Rodgers could get into his head and make him work for the team.

Absolutely. Not ruling him out based on that. Just saying he looked poor in a good Colombian team. Not seen him enough at Porto but hard to judge players in a team that dominate that much in a league with very little competition.

Griezmann, Shaqiri and a quality CM would be where I'd spend the Suarez money...

Player sales can be reinvested into the defense.

I think Sanchez has been 'alright' for a few seasons, so really not fussed about him not wanting to join. He wasn't my first pick anyway, not sure why so many here wanted him.

Balotelli, lol. Big fat no. Over rated and hugely up himself. Never mind lazy.
    Martinez doesn't impress me either.

I don't think we need an out and out striker, just two quality forward who can play across the line. We've got Sturridge, Borini, Lambert and Aspas (lol) to play up top.

Sanchez is a quality player. Would have loved him here and I think he'll be brilliant at Arsenal. He's strong and reminds me a bit of Suarez/Tevez where he has that South American fighting spirit.
