This is player v player not club v club. United players are not going to lie and the club, or anyone involved in representing the club isnt going to tarnish Suarez' name.

This is Evras battle, he knows it, hes spoken with SAF and this is what they have decided to do. Nothing to do with no body backing him up.

Liverpool on the other hand, well......regardless of the outcome alot of shame has been added to your club, partly down to the idiots who run your official website and for anyone else trying to disgusting discredit evra before an investigation has begun.

 

Jut saw an interview with Fergie on Granada Reports.

In it the Utd manager said Evra will persue his claim against Saurez "because hes still upset from what Saurez said to him".

So Fergies not takng sides there the UIR?

 

Evra is being a bit conspicuous by his lack of concrete proof.

Some people will go to all lengths to get an opposing team's player sacked. How sad is that?

 

I refuse to believe that whatever was said, Evra didn't give back as good as he reportedly got.

I'm not saying he did it but if he did then Evra has the right to be offended.

 

Amazing how many people are saying Evra is a liar without any proof to say he is. I am not saying Suarez is guilty, just what makes you think even before any investigation has concluded that Evra is lying?

 

OP you seem to think footballers should be models of honesty. Suarez I am sure is one of many in a long line of people who said they wouldn't do something and when it came down to it they did.. I really don't see why you are banging on about it.

 

My point is wishi that Ferguson stated in his comment that Saurez did make the remark to Evra even before hes been found guilty of it.

 

By your argument you could say the same about Suarez. Where's the proof that Evra is telling the truth? So far he's wheeled out his dad, Ferguson, to speak on his behalf. Let Evra have the balls to come out and say it, on the radio, on the telly. Oh, no, wait, that would be slander. And no, wait, Evra has no balls.

 

What's he meant to say? If he says that his player is upset because of what was supposedly said to him he looks like he's criticising his player and questioning his reaction. If Evra says he's upset because of what was said and his manager repeats that it doesn't mean he's saying Suarez is guilty beyond all doubt.

 

There is already a Saurez v Evra thread. This is a Saurez diving thread...If you want to point at any diving Liverpool player then it should be Downing.

 

I am not turning this into an Utd v Liverpool debate - something you and others are trying. Suarez could indeed be innocent. However why should Evra come out into the open and say what actually happened? What actually was or wasn't said is under investigation. Let there be full disclosure afterwards.

And there was Talks Bollocks this afternoon going on about how Liverpool should launch an investigation to clear Suarez name - I kind of agree - and should he be sacked yada yada and then, someone - me - pointed out that Evra could be lying and what about HIS punishment if he was lying? It's all an assumption by many that Suarez is guilty.

He said Evra is doing it. Didnt say he believes any over the other from what you just put. Unless theres more. Is there?

Evra has never EVER doen this before.

1.7billionth time I have said this. Sky, the telegraph, the gaurdian, bbc, journos on twitter etc have all said this aswell.

The one person who lied about it to discredit evra is involved in the Liverpoolfc.tv website.

So Evras reputation doesnt go before him.

 

Suarez' name is in the title of this article, how could it turn into anything else other than a LFC v united debate, and how can Evra's name not come into it when it's as plain as day that it's either one or the other through the back door!

If I were Evra and I felt so strongly about it and I felt it had really happened I would insist on having my say and I would invite Suarez to refute it. Evra was quick enough to make the accusation in the first place.

So i your opinion LFC's website are at fault for believing Saurez is innocent of racial abuse yet its ok for Evra's manager to state that as far as hes concerned Saurez did say the offensive word to his player.
