I reckon the reason why he didn't pass it and instead took the better option of smashing it was because it would have been defended against had he passed it. He chose the better option.
Let Carroll work for his goals. There is no easy meat this days. He got to earn his pounds & sterling. He could have scored two goals if he had moved his heavy weight closer to the goal mouth when Suarez had the ball towards the line.
Suarez scored..What's the problem? Seriously why do we continually look for fault when their is none? Carroll will come good, unlucky with the header in the 2nd half that came back off the post. He worked harder than previous games.
The pass was definately on for Carroll and I thought Suarez had run himself into trouble but not passing. Having said that, Suarez is a goal scorer - he has to have that selfishness about him else he wouldn't score the number of goals he has done. What I have noticed about Suarez is that if he is in the position to score, then he will. But if the odds are against him, then he will pass. There are a lot of people who will try and go for glory when there is no chance of them scoring. Most often than not, Suarez seems to pick the right option.

UO,If any player you know scores goals "whenever he wants" let me know who or otherwise stop being a smart arse by taking my words out of context. Just for the record,he does score goals from acute angles very close to the touchline,he does score goals out of nothing scenarios and he is a defenders nightmare.
