I think he works in a similar way to Sturridge in his role in the team. Not the main man, not the creative spark and not one to take on a few players to conjure space from nothing. They link up well and finish off chances. Great player, but I think our attack would be really imbalanced if it were Sturridge, Benzema and Sterling. It just wouldn't work. He'd be ideal for Arsenal and Chelsea would benefit hugely from him too.
I'm not really comparing them, Benzema is obviously miles ahead of Carroll in talent but both work best as the centrals striker. Bale & Ronaldo play either side of Benzema. Would he be as effective for us as having to rotate and sometimes play out wide etc?
