Now I can't quote figures but things with both Barca and Real may not be as free-wheeling as usual this Summer. Both will have been investigated by UEFA and have seen what has happened to City and PSG. Baraca have just lost their coach and maybe a bit of their mojo. Real did not cover themselves with glory domestically. However, I can see them both trying to engage in player + type deals. So as far as Suarez is concerned, the chance that one or both of them come calling after the WC has not reduced one iota. If they do then it really is a question of just how good JH and BR can act as a duo. Unless the offered player is both top line and what we need then JH has to play hardball with Suarez and his agent - again!

we'll see.... we've not heard anything about real yet and the bale deal they offest by selling ozil... khederia is up for sale with chelsea sniffing. i'm sure 70mil is easily offsettable for them. thinking on it in fact I'd sell suarez to them for khederia and benzema..
benzema is anywhere from 30-40mil and khederia is 25-35. they are both really top players. Utd and chelea are mooted to be after khederia for 35mil and benzema who might be cheaper due to contract being 12 months form expiry is still in demand by arsenal at the very least so expect a bidding war. just saying there's a huge amount of talent right where we need it
Not at all, the amount of revenue Madrid have, they probably wouldn't even need to sell to fund Suarez.
Revenue is not the be all and end all. You must look at the debt schedule as well. Now particularly the Spanish giants are very vulnerable to any serious investigations of their finances.
yeah we will see, remember Morientes supposed to be the same, well 3 times European champion, but he couldn't adapt to the prem, but we know one player who can and what he gives
Benzema wouldn't suit us - certainly not as a Suarez replacement. He's not a creator. He's not a grafter. The only player I would take from Real in a swap to replace Suarez (baring Ronaldo and Bale) would be Di Maria and that aint gonna happen. Full money, or feck off.
There are rumours that Di Maria could be leaving this summer. I would take Benzema - I think he does work quite hard for the team and he probably looks sh*t because he is surrounded by top class. Similiar to how Flannagan seems amazing when you compare him to Johnson. I would take Varane and Casemiro - top class prospects.
Doesn't matter if you have a release clause. Liverpool dont honour them anyway (english clubs dont in general) Still good luck getting 100million for him these days. Just think, you could sell him to real for 60million (hefty fee for a guy who wont get a game at real, have you seen their attack) and buy costa (big game player).
Sterling had a good go against the top 4 this season, as did Skrtel, are they worth more than Suarez then?
benzema is 26 going on 27 and so is in his prime, so is suarez. moriente was already past it and was bought as experience. moriente legs were gone day one for us and i thnik everyone could see how slow he was. benzema is a goal scorer. if arsneal get him he'll be big for them
Benzema is a goal scorer but he's not flexible enough to play upfront for us. We don't have a player that can only play as a CF. The last one we had was Carroll and he was shifted out pretty quickly because Rodgers' wants flexibility up there and lots of movement.
Think you're being harsh on Benzema there mate! He regularly drops deep and out wide, he's forced to a lot of the time because Ronaldo takes up all the spaces a centre forward usually occupies. Plus he's several tiers above Carroll in terms of ability & intelligence.
The difference between benzema and Carroll is night and day but I mean you'd really rarely think hmmm Suarez.... He's quality but let's stick him on the wing yeah? Oh he's world class mind. But nobody is saying to sturridge to go stick wide right either so..... Why would benzema not work in concert with sturridge... And I'd only have him as a replacement for Suarez if it came to it. I think he'd be top class in England and would improve arsenal no end
