Here's what i want to know:

1) Did any other player come out and state that he heard the discussion going on between Suarez and Evra?
2) What evidence is being used to justify the charge?
3) Why is Suarez being charged when John Terry was caught up close and personal doing it and yet gets away with it?

<doh>

because terry is the england captain and evra plays for slur alchie

The thing is with Liverpool fans is.... Suarez didnt say anything it wont go anywhere..Suarez charged.
Now Suarez is charged he didnt say anything racist at all its Evra's fault how is it someone else's fault if Suarez did it.
They must have something if the FA have charged him and if they do Liverpool fans with have some very big eggs on their faces. Just a thought.

i can see a general melchett style hearing with fergie playing the part of the judge

FA wouldn't have charged him unless there was evidence.

There must be evidence.

Whaddya know, the violent, cheating thug is a racist as well. Who would have guessed.

Wonder if dogleash has realised how stupid he sounded when he said:

"He is a great ambassador for the football club. For us, as well as his football, the other things he brings to the club are very important as well. He is just a fantastic person"

Okay several things wrong with this post where you have convinced yourself John Terry racially abused another player and have decided that the outcome has already been made. Firstly Terry is being investigated by BOTH the FA and the Police, whereas only the FA were looking into the Suarez incident as well as Terry being slapped all over the front pages about this. So if there is someone who has a lot of spotlight on him, it's Terry. Secondly Terry, like Suarez, has categorically denied the allegation and there is no proof he said what he is being accused of. The idea he would say such a thing when his black colleagues and team mates are all around him, along with there being thousands of fans in the ground and the cameras all over him being broadcast all over the world, is ridiculous. The points you used to defend Suarez are also applicable to Terry. Thirdly, the Suarez incident took place before Terry's, so obviously the FA have had more time to investigate it. Finally, the investigation into the Terry incident is ongoing, he has not "got away with it", as you seem to have assumed.

Yeah; pity it's taken them this long to find the evidence, eh?

Have a day off.

Furthermore the ****in' ref must've heard something, since he was standing right next to them.

Not.

****in' Evra was shown up that day and he didn't like it, that's all it amounts to.

Course it is.

Stop being pedantic. You call someone a paki, you're being racist. Don't give me semantics.

I hate the French....but that's ok because they hate me...and secretly I actually like them and secretly they like me too <ok> What sort of world have we become if we the roast beefs can't hurl insults at the cheese eating surrender monkeys across the channel?

Banter is one thing. Calling someone a french **** because you don't like them is another thing. But there is a line.

I get that Liverpool fans aren't exactly the biggest fans of Patrice but it's a bit of pot, kettle, black going on. No pun/racism intended.

what a well balanced comment - if everyone who was charged with an offence was guilty, why bother with hearings

Another way to look at it is.

If there was no evidence, or the evidence was inconclusive they wouldn't have charged him. You don't charge someone with a crime unless theres evidence and a serious belief of a conviction.

If Suarez does nothing then the FA will move straight onto the punishment. His guilt has been decided enough for the FA, whether he can weasel his way outta it on a technicality or something remains to be seen.

Good.

And I have to laugh at the usual "Fergies got the F.A. in his pocket" nonsense. Have a day off will ya? The F.A. have charged him for a reason.

Too true.

If Suarez did say something along those lines then Evra is being oversensitive and they need their heads knocking together.

However, if he, as alleged, called him a ****** that is different. We'll see, eh?

What staggers me is how you lot are so absolutely convinced he didn't say it. On what basis? His long and distingushed career of sporting behaviour?
If there was no case for him to answer they wouldn't have charged him, God knows they took long enough to 'investigate'.

What a total idiot you are. Satements have been made by both players. The FA, for their own reasons, have decided to test that evidence by bringing a charge to test that evidence.
