bit harsh on Rodgers that luv, he had to make a statement of some sort or the press would have dug the knife in deeper and come out with all sorts of crap that he doesn't condone it or similar bollocks.
This is how I'd deal with it... BR: "Luis, you're doing a good job not diving about as much anymore, now, please don't take about previous dive's!" Luis: OK Boss. BR: Thanks. The End!
Who'll be gone by September? Now ... the difference between Suarez diving and Neville diving ... in your own time.
I heard Rodgers has put Luis up for sale in shear shock. A bid for Danny Graham is on the cards whilst Suarez is lined up to have an interview with Opera to talk about this groundbreaking confession.
I said it tongue in cheek but legitimate question. Glad Suarez plays for us but it is embarrassing to see him flop around at times. Never seen Rodgers address this before and I'm not buying that Rodgers hasn't realised it is going on.
I cannot believe that Rodgers has condemned him so publicly. He should have been more supportive of his best player...
Frequency and intent. Neville admitted he dived as a reaction when he saw Agger moving towards him. Suarez admitted he dived as a concious decision because Liverpool needed to win. He's probably more annoyed that it's come into the public eye. I think any manager would do the same - SAF only had his "talk" with Young about diving after he came in for media criticism.
Thanks for your reply - all opinions welcome - but the question was specifically for Shogun following his comments about 'model pro' - the inference being a pro doesn't dive - hence the comparison with a dive from one of Everton's players! Still waiting Shogun ....
'Neville admitted he dived', diving is cheating no matter what isn't it? If he hadn't made it so obvious when he went over Agger would have got a straight red.
Seemed to me Shogun's comment about the model pro was more about the "we needed anything to win it" comment. The implication that he'd do anything to win, including deliberately diving is, imo, a less professional attitude than "I thought Agger was going to take me out so I dived". But I guess that's always going to be a matter of opinion, and I don't expect any LFC fans hold the same one
It's not even that complicated mate. But while others put forward their ideas on his behalf, I guess we'll never really know what his answer to the original question was. It's one of those situations were the essence is in the speed of the repostes. In terms of 'we needed anything to win' - see also Nevilles hand ball off the line!
Ian Herbert's latest Suarez/Rodgers related drivel. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...ral-high-ground-over-luis-suarez-8456524.html ****.
Bit stupid really, it happened so long ago not sure why it's all been brought up now. We've seen in the last month or so he's actually stayed on his feet a lot more (Sunderland the second goal) as one example. He seems to have cut out going over so easily (a lot of the time there was contact which he would exagerate) and I rarely see him blatently dive anymore or moan at ref quite as much. I think if he never went to ground again all season people would still moan at him for diving so he's never going to shake that tag but just hope he carries on the good work he's been doing for the last month or so.
The spectacle of people trying to make all of Suarez' offences seem so much less forgiveable than identical ones committed by other players is faintly ridiculous. Agree with this ^
Can't wait to see what fergie's drinking crony, that overcooked ham James lawton, has to say about it. And lardarse Samuel.
