All about perception Pud. There were at last 3 bad elbowing offences in that French game last night which could arguably have caused more damage to the recipient and Valencia's foul looked dreadful. Biting just looks so bad and, I suppose, reflects the basest of animal instincts. There's definitely somthing a bit hypocritical about it though.
Here in Bristol we've already started that trend http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2063386/Foul-play-Footballer-urinated-corner-flag-rival-fans-FA-Cup-match.html
Sounds like the harbourside on a Saturday night, remember a fine Brizz lass having a piss whilst talking to her mate, *** in one hand, wkd blue in the other.
And if a player was guilty of headbutting or elbowing an opponent on 3 seperate occasions after promising never to do so again after each event?
They are just picking on Suarez. Much worse things go on in football and are not punished. Remember Souness for ****s sake. ****ing animal and got away with it.
I like the way the President turned up at the airport to give him a heroes welcome - and he wasn't on the plane. Whilst i think what Suarez did was really bad i'm begining to wonder if we shouldn't start adopting the same "win at all costs and anything that goes against us is because we're hated for no reason" approach. Everything else has failed so we have nothing to lose and it could be quite entertaining.
