Racism/gingerism are as bad as each other. Both should carry the death sentence.

Is this the same Evra who said in the same game to the referee Andre Marriner in the same game "You're only booking me because I'm black". Yeah, sounds like a massive victim, poor Evra, getting booked because he's black.

And the same Evra who told Suarez when he tried to help him up off the floor "Don't touch me, you South American"

    My own thoughts:

On Suarez : I believe he's guilty of racist behaviour towards Evra. No one would say affectionately "you black bastard" to an opponent in the middle of a game (or whatever it is he said)
    On Evra: Whiney little prick
On racism : People in this country are overly obsessed with political correctness. Any idiot can see that racism is wrong, immoral etc. Of course it is. But people make way too much of a big deal over it. It's only an insult, nothing more nothing less. In fact, most black people I know couldn't give 2 ****s what you call them, it's just PC whites in their nice offices that kick up a stink about it to keep themselves in a job. 1 match ban and a public apology will suffice, it's a wrong thing to do but really not as bad as people make out.

On comas or whatever the **** he's called : You're like a less likeable, slightly more immature version of Tash.

This is the 21st century, there's no excuse for racism now.

I think a large part of it is what racism is in different parts of the world. We have a tendency in this country to believe that our views on whats right and wrong is the way it is around the world. We don't educate the players coming into the country on the differences between our culture and that of their own. Most people in this country find the idea of calling someone a black so and so unacceptable. However this is not replicated around the globe. In South America it is very different (as it is in many places) and is not viewed in the same way by either party. This may be difficult for us arrogant English to concede but I think we need to and look at ways of stopping it becoming a problem. Sanctioning the players and making no effort to improve integration into our country is a bigger crime in terms of racial harmony for me.

Footballers should be smart enough to do this on their own, really. But then again, footballers.
