The sensible option, Sturridge has great potential but as has been pointed out he can make the wrong choices on the pitch. Can he learn? Well worth finding out imo.

I think the two of them might join in the window Sturridge on loan with an option to buy. And Walcott for around 8 million

Bet they'd both want assurances about playing as the striker though so 2 into 1 etc etc

They will both play wide so that Suarez can play in the middle.

neither... sturridge has a big head and spits the dummy and wlcott is injruy prone.

as we've only a small amount and need to get it right i'd like to see us buy from outside england.

They are both currently at top clubs, and both look like they are dispensable at their respected clubs too. Why do we want cast offs with attitude problems?

I want us to unearth a gem, not dust one off, that's been put on a shelf.

Why either? Ok i'd go for Walcott possibly as he got most of his footballing education at Arsenal - A bit better sign for me.

But preferably neither, i'd rather go for one of the young strikers in Europe who would gladly come to Liverpool.

agreed. while i think yesil is not ready and we need someone NOW i'd rather we recall and play carroll than buy either f these two cos walcott's injuries and attitude about playing up top and wnating 100k per week = a no go for me...

walcott = younger faster joe cole... paces means nothing lying on a treatment table.

Walcott is a very good player capable of scoring goals. He will bury most of those simple chances that Suarez squanders. His wages may not be that high, and I am not aware of his injuries being a big deal.

I bet you would have taken Cole with out hesitation when he was 23.

Have to say Walcott impressed me last year - when Arsenal were in the ****, he looked like one of the only players that cared.

  16. I just don't see were people are getting the opinion the Walcott can finish from... He fluffs everything given a bit of time, the instinct chances aren't exactly 'great' either <doh>

I'd rather stick with what we don't have than sign Theo 'I want £100k and to play up front' Walcott!

Walcott is a good, laid back guy. Now ego at all.

  18. As for Sturridge, he needs to take the velcro off his boots first <ok>

Finishing every chance he gets or not, he'd have been our top scorer or there abouts last season.

Is he an improvement on playing Downing? Yes. An improvement on relying on teenagers every week? Yes.

  20. Is Downing the bench mark of player we are looking for? No!

I could have been top scorer last had season I been in the side and I'm not a striker!!!
