Those were the "Rumours" I heard too.. take it with a pinch of salt, as with all things the so called "ITKs" say on Twatter.. But if it was a case of only one in if one goes out, then Fabio not leaving would make sense in us pulling out of the Remy deal. Shame, I think he could have done a decent job for us... I can only assume that Fabio has been told in no uncertain terms, he's no longer needed and best he move on, otherwise the above assumption wouldn't work, if we had to get one out before another one can come in, esp. given the public admission that we want another striker.
I'm the only fecker that voted for Jay.... Surely its a buy 3 get one free given our loyalty scheme with the Saints?
From the way it sounded though, there's no chance of the Remy deal being resurrected, whereas if it was just a money problem, then surely the deal could be resureected by convincing Borini to go somewhere or by selling other players. The collapse just seemed a bit too final to me for it to be linked to the Borini move. Of course, if we sell Borini and then do buy Remy, then that's my theory pretty much disproved!
