Silly me- I came on this thread expecting to find, along with the cheap opportunist delight at someone's injury from the wums, a measure of sympathy for a talented player unfortunately blighted by injury. Instead I find a number of our own fans ripping into him as though he were doing it deliberately. I don't care what the wums say, they're entitled to their opinions but they're irrelevant, but I think for our own fans to let their understandable disappointment spill into vindictiveness and vitriol is way over the top. How about a measure of support for the lad in what is obviously a tough time for him, as well as the club?
Too right. Disappointment is definitely the feeling right now but as you rightly say, its not Danny's fault. Nor is it his fault we have no one else to take his place either.
