On a side note I hope Southampton stay up...another season of struggling and fighting tooth and nail to survive by the skin of their teeth will be hilarious to watch Anyway back to Stadium talk
Back to the point though and this is to the Spurs fans, do you think that you should have strengthened the squad? Even if it was let's say £30 on one player, you'd still have a massive profit and would have made you a stronger team.
Do you wanna Come with me @Chief and @Skylarker it's pay on the day and you can pay £5 extra for the seat in front so that you can put your feet up.
Some of our football has been so boring recently, I have ended counting how many seagulls and pigeons have flown under the roof of the stadium. I’m sure that won’t happen at WHL, because the pigeons will have to pay to get in. So they’ll be looking on enviously from a rooftop nearby.
The figures that would slightly worry me are that it's ONLY £100m profit. They spend almost exactly that much less than Arsenal on wages and arsenal are only the 'next' team up in the wages table (5th). So if they simply matched us for wages their profit is gone just like that. Plus they might actually have to spend some money on transfers at some point taking them into the red. Plus they're not going to make anymore match day revenue at the new place than they were in Wembley (will they?) so its not like there's any hidden extra revenue to come in apart from selling a few bits of buildings which is offset massively by paying for the stadium. Or are my figures all wrong?
Yes for me we should have however if your manager doesn't want any player and has specific players in mind then you have to respect that. I remember Klopp waiting for VVD instead of shoring up your leaky defence with any other player in that January transfer window when VVD bent over and showed his arse crack to Southampton FC
Their match day revenue will increase, and they'll get some money from naming rights. They'll also get some rent for subletting to The Saracens and NFL. But all of that is offset against having to pay off the £1bn debt to pay for the stadium in the first place. If they do **** it up and miss out of Top 4 this season, then that lack of CL revenue will hit them hard.
As a CEO Levy’s job is to run the whole business so securing the long term future has to take priority over splashing it all on a punt at a title. Its not stupid or arrogant - its sound business sense.
Looks like a shopping mall somewhere in the midlands. I was right about the pigeons though - they’ve stuck a massive parrot on the front to warn them off.
Not gonna lie, I hope Swansea get you in the cup or something as I would love to go. Cheese at half time and other such treats. Not a ****ing chance as a United away supporter.
