Has everyone's laptop or pc been affected by this freezing weather? So quiet here today.

I can't see any threads started since the 2012/13 Season Ticket sale or the allocation of Wembley tickets were announced so here goes as a starter for 10.

Over 5,000 ST's renewed or sold by 5.00 pm yesterday. That's got to be another £2m in the bank.

Plenty more to go today and over the weekend with many Platinum Ambos (PA's) looking to take advantage of the extra Wembley ticket. For those of us who are PA's this looks a good deal and I'm not ashamed to admit I did my business on Wednesday. I guess it will mean that around 20,000 tickets will go via this route leaving 11,000 for other ST's and not much else to go around.

At least the club are rewarding those of us who put our cash up front before each season although I sympathise with other loyal Bluebirds who do not have the financial ability to do this but still attend many home and away games. There will never be a totally fair system so the club have to go with whatever keeps the most happy and what is easiest to organise otherwise they risk bedlam at least or. at worst, riots.

On the other hand we average home crowds of 22,000 so I hope the majority of regulars manage to get 1 ticket each by hook or crook and still leaving some form others.

I see we have the west end again which has not been lucky for us in our last 2 visits. Time for luck to change and at least the east end won't be bathed in sunshine again, with a 4.00 pm kick off, to magnify the colours of the opposition fans.
 
The club needs to take advantage of any success on the pitch it can. It's a bit of a master stroke to get all the ST money in so quickly. Letting new ST buyers, buy 1 ticket is equally as shrewd and will hopefully increase ST numbers and with it attendances overall.

Of our 22000 average I would be suprised if many of those miss out. As you say though, no system will be perfect and I don't blame the club for trying to maximise the revenue whilst trying to ensure the people who turn up every week get the lions share of the tickets.
 
Commercially it makes sense for the club to go with this scheme. Afterall this is a business as much as a football club for us fans. Pay on the day fans (regular attendees) should by now know someone who can get them a ticket. The football circle is a small circle and for those of us who are loyal to the club they should be looked after. When all is said and done I believe that those who try hard enough and are resourceful will get to Wembley.
It doesn't matter how we, as fans, plough money into the club (upfront or week by week); the club have the fan numbers and can tell the number of games attended by their system. Those who have attended 90%-100% of home games this season should always be able to qualify for a ticket.
