If we can do you a little favour on the way like today, we will.<ok>

That's more like it Massive - say it as it is. Pointless thread it might be, but you commented with your usual aplomb.

No problem when the real sentiments come to the fore - much rather that than faux praise.

    C'mon Blackpool.

That's all the thread asked smh - it wasn't supposed to be a love-in, just whether some of you'd rather us win than Wolves.

The answer may be obvious to those with the normal brain cells over there, but still the "offended" come out with the usual.

Your 'need to be loved' has manifested itself on to a thread where We were never really going to be able to help you!

You need to speak to someone professional in these matters..

Make love not war banksy - that's the message. <ok>

I've had no problems with you wurzel lot over the years at the football grounds or on the forums, particularly the old Beeb 606, but the divergance of our club fortunes this season has turned some of you as bitter as the Leeds mob, and that's a shame. Banter is a different matter and is just great - it's only forum rhetoric after all and means nothing in the real world.

If you put down your ploughs for a minute and talk about football rather than being so defensive about the subject, perhaps we can look at the bigger picture.

The club loyalty thing will always rise to the surface, few feel more strongly than me as you've probably noticed, but it shouldn't be allowed to overide common sense when it comes to discussing the facts of the current situation - that was all this thread asked.

As far as "the need to be loved", I'd rather shag a sheep than look for it across the Bridge - at least they're not bitter and don't answer back......<laugh>

Of course I want you guys to beat ALL the teams around us. Why would'nt I?.......you are so far ahead of us both on and off the pitch that it will be an absolute age before we are anything like close rivals.
Whether you "bottle" it again is neither here nor there to me...aside from a few laughs down my local and in work of course!....so continue in your good form and help us to survive....it realy is that simple!

After all, us reds must stick together!

Sparks as much as I like you, I really am sensing a complex here.

If this thread was reversed on to the Cardiff board the reaction would be identical if not worse! in fact I think it has been a little tempered by our familiarity of you?

    Banksy, I'm shocked!

I quite like you too, but I certainly say such a thing on your board if I were you - collaborating with the enemy could cost you your hair and the tar and feather treatment. I'm also quite touched that you're familiarity with me has blossomed into full friendship. I hope some of your colleagues across here feel the same - I can feel the warm glow coming across the water as I write.

BTW, I don't subscribe to your complex theory banksy, but they do say those that have them don't realise it........<laugh>

So you think I put this thread up either to antagonise, or as some sort of attention seeking - is that it? Posting threads on opposition boards is fraught with dangers of a backlash, and I quite agree with you, if you had done similarly on our board, the response you'd have got would probably have been the same if not more aggressive.

Perhaps I was wrong to ask the question. Perhaps I just wanted us to help you - who knows? :emoticon-0105-wink:

I shall continue to pop in as the season draws to its' conclusion and trust we can repeat the Wolves result against your fellow strugglers. Remember though, you'll have to continue picking up points yourselves like Saturday - we can't do it all for you. <ok>

No problem smh - I just couldn't go as far as to say helping your survival was uppermost in our thoughts. <ok>

Funny thing is that I'm a true believer in symbiosis, and it has a funny way of coming back to you.

Your game at Hull in April would be a good time for you to reciprocate (although we may already be up by then). :emoticon-0105-wink:

Part of a Sparky comment on the Cardiff board today about the red scarf foc give-away....Ol git......

' I've not said much about it until now as some of our wurzel friends were using it as a "banter" weapon to counter their own obvious inadequacies on the pitch, but it all seemed a bit of a tacky gimmick.'

Wizey - my comments on our board on the subject are there for all to see - glad to see you're reading something different regardless of the subject and the high "gloat factor" this one carries.

Your cut and paste is exactly how I felt about the "scarf" issue then, and I never once defended it during the chitchat over here during the past fortnight or so.

It was a pointless exercise that backfired (we were also "pointless" against Brighton on the night of issue), and demonstrates the lack of knowledge VT apparently possesses about owner/supporter relationships.

As I also said in the same post if you'd have cared to include it in your comment - "The scarf giveaway was a miscalculation at best, and in my view a probable mistake. I'm not sure what it set out to achieve. You don't gain friends and popularity by handing out free scarves."................and I meant it.

As you've resurrected this thread, I see you have Blackpool this weekend. Fancy your chances on that pitch? You can dig for lugworm at half time.
