I must admit I've thought the same thing but it is harsh. Maybe since we've picked up a bit performance and results wise he'll have less pressure when he comes back and better performing players around him. It might also benefit him to be playing off the bench for a while, coming on against tiring defenders etc...well we can live in hope right
He's done well from January onwards anyway for Swansea & Roma so we do have some hope that he'll come good in the second half of the season.
Against City Borini played RF, Sterling LF. Pretty sure it stayed that way until Borini got injured. In that role Borini will be expected to run inside in front of Suarez and get in behind the opposition back 4.
Just don't see him doing much from RF. If we have a front three with him, Sterling and Suarez I'd rather see Fabio on left with Raheem right. I thought Sterling had his best game so far against Wigan and he was on the right
I also prefer Sterling on the right. I read a stat that Borini score more goals from left forward last season than cf or rf.
borini and sterling swapped sides in games. Borini did start a few on the left for us, no question there. I think the tactic does'nt rely at all on which foot a player uses but their ability to get into the box at the back stick or to get i nthe middle when surez comes deep.. i think borini did "ok" in his games but that wa smore about the runs he'd make than anything. He had a few gaffs where he missed the ball completely when try to shoot too. he needs a lot of time IMO. I think our 7 match unbeaten thing is more down to the fact we are seeing WISDOM playing more and jonhson/enrique back and us slowly elimiating the bad errors... we are still making them but we are also seeing a suarez purple patch right now as well which is making the goals that hide those individual errors. So yes a little harsh on borini especially as suso is subbed in most games as well.
